"A common pitfall is over reliance on certain mechancis" Exactly, don't over rely on your movement - use both. I combine movement and my raw aim; I move to both aim and disturb their aimings, I use my raw aim for longer range fights and micro-correcting. That's the best thing to do! combine! Be a harder target for your enemies by strafing. HOWEVER. If you don't do that you are a crouch sprayer which is not ideal for _you_.

This is the same in ow, however for a different reason, and I dislike every single game like this for the lack of their need of raw aiming. In val, the movement is so slow and its easy to compensate for lack of raw mouse control; in ow, the movement is so fast that you'd be better off not using too much raw mouse control.

this is so facts. i use the valorant strafe heavy aim style because i play one day a week and don’t have time to put in any training, but i can still keep up with immortals or ascendants because they handicap themselves with too little shooting and too much moving.

Basically people are skipping on eating the vegetables, which is training raw aim daily. Strafing is good for someone who rely too much on raw aim and make themselves very vulnerable by just standing. Its a balance and training of both raw aim and strafing. U cannot cheat ur way without raw aim by steafing nor can u get good with just raw aim. Dont skip ur vegetables guys

In most fps games, pure good aim will always triumph for a while. It’s the main thing that makes an FPS shooter. Other stuff is important and is usually needed later on, but someone with exceptional aim, will have a significant advantage from start to finish. With this, it amazes the portion of players in immo that don’t aim train, despite the large advantage they’d gain from minimal training. Shroud is a prime example of this.

I came into this video expecting to disagree with what you were going to say before I realized that you were saying that people should still focus on aim training while also developing game mechanics to compliment this. I am very much in agreement. I started to aim train consistently recently with a good playlist that encompasses all forms of aim and have seen good results. I am now able to consistently out aim people several ranks above me and I have a good reason to stop aim coping and actually improve now.

I mean i think its more about using your keyboard and mouse at the same time and not just moving while keeping your hand still the whole time when people do that they look bad, if you already flicked and are slightly off or recognize that you will be but should land at the appropriate height then its faster to just strafe in the opposite direction to make the small correction, if you are off more than what a keyboard can correct for in a timely manner than doing a micro flick is faster because you missed by a large enough margin that the change in directions lag doesnt matter, at the end of the day its about using movement and aiming at the same time as if it were all one, if unable to then that means you arent good enough at it yet as that is the end goal for it to look like one motion rather than moving or aiming.

I think I get the point of the video, but I think you highlight problems with that particular player in that gameplay, instead of the actual way that good players take fights deadzoning is not meant to be easier to aim, its just to be more difficult to hit, you should actually micro adjust while you are moving so that the moment you stop you can shot instantly

@GREED_EU
@GREED_EU 8 месяцев назад
Because aim is the comprisal of all of it's sub-categories. Each thing, clicking, tracking, and switching are all pillars for each other. If one of them is weak, your metaphorical building will be less stable. and not be able to built as high. Each aim type is used all the time. Even when doing clicking, you are using skills built in tracking, and switching scenarios as well, and if those are lacking, then you are holding yourself back. Everything is just as important as each other in aim, no matter what.

A lot of pro players in valorant GENUINELY don’t have ANY extra mechanical talent when it comes to gaming. They have normal reaction time, average aim, and their “game sense” is just because they’ve played the game all day and have played it since the beginning. Many of them go pro because of clout or connections from playing the beta, and then they get dropped. Not to say these players aren’t immensely skilled, every single one of them is IMMENSELY skilled. But a lot of them default to this aim style, and it has been their downfall. In the end valorant is an FPS game. There are people with talent (S0m, aspas, maybe Derke). If these pros switched to a game like Alex legends, they would still be cracked and skills would transfer over. And people without it (DerrekOW, FNS, Asuna). If these pros switched games to like, apex- their mouse movement and aim would be HORRIBLE. Yet mechanics don’t matter. Valorant is almost too newbie friendly. You can have terrible, dogshit aim and reach immortal EXTREMELY easily. You aren’t required to play the game effectively or in a skilled way. Aiming sharp is actually bad- it’s be better to aim like an NPC. Utility is very easy to understand, even if it can be complex OCCASIONALLY. Writing this has made me realize that valorant is kinda shit.

came to valorant from cs (2500 elo in cs2 currently) played for about a 100h and still havent seen a single person who knows how to aim. It is just ridicilous, there is no movement in this game at all, and people are capable of only standing still and waiting for the target to come right in their crosshair. Also i think that complete absence of the AIM in valorant is the main reason why a lot of girls play this game

Why would you not "valorant aim" IN valorant. The style of aiming is literally made for the game, as well as others, for example in apex strafing with shotguns and waiting till they are in your crosshair (so to speak) is the most consistent way to use a shotgun effectively, and in valorant, those with better raw aim than you would kill you faster if you try to just rely on raw aim in valorant, sure if you poured hundreds of hours into aim training youd be much better at aiming, but if you want to play val theres no point focusing on this as raw aim is not the best way to play val, its like you said teamwork and utility usage. I think this is a good point but this should not be a valorant video, if you want to play valorant at a high level you will move more than aim and thats just the way it came to be. Also how have you coached hundreds of val players if you've only been playing for 4 days, it doesn't add up, and even if it was true 4 days is not long enough experience to make an opinionated video like this

I mean. Considering that I'm consistently out aiming Asc lobbies and I'm 4 days into the game, it kinda goes to show that raw aim is still important. This is like saying you don't need tyres to drive your car because you can just drive on the rims. I am an aim coach, not a Valorant coach. It is my full time to get people better aim, and to teach aim theory. "Valorant aim" is a strafing style and typically during that, players use minimal mouse movements. What I'm saying if you should be applying far more raw aim DURING this strafing pattern and you will dominate valorant, like I am. I don't even know all the Character names, how the abilities work, or even how the econ works and I'm pushing immortal in less than a week. This game is braindead easy once you begin actually understanding how to shoot people in it. The util is important, and aim is a very small factor. But if I win in every scenario where it IS important, then I am far more likely to rank up because then all I have to do is learn the util.

2:18 Just combine aimtraing with good movment which you call "insessently strafing" and you will become better. It really is that simple. I have climbed from silver to immo 2 193 rr so i know my stuff. There is some thruth to what you are saying but at the end of the day it makes yourself an easier target.

Do you know which scenario helps with a and d moving targets since usually I over-flick when they move only a small distance and I overflick even more if I include more a and d movement.

You think Shroud and Aleksandar, i think Demon1 too, apply these topics you mentioned in your video??? cause they move alot less than other players and have insane aiming/precision, and they even shoot completly still...

Hi, do you have any tips on aiming while moving? Like tracking a strafing target while you are stafing yourself?
@GREED_EU
@GREED_EU 7 месяцев назад
It's just a skill you'll have to train and refine through your practice.

Doesn't zywoo do this in cs? im so confused on why is it bad to use your movement to adjust your aim, sure only relying on it is bad but in general if u have a micro adjustment its faster to press a and shoot then stop and then adjust. As someone whos competed in both games at a high level id say more then certainly your movement is more important then trying to fight a strafe and commiting to a spray or tapping when its better to just move and stop on a dime to shoot.

Didn't even realize I had this issue, but when you stated it, it made me reflect. When it comes to making adjustments with my mouse in valorant, I am really bad. It often takes far too long and I just end up getting one tapped. So instead, I resort to using my movement to land my crosshair on target with minimal mouse movements. I think the key is being able to aim/control your mouse whilst your move, but this is not easy. Would exercises like VT Angle track help with this?

Playing micro scenarios, reactive tracking, and forcing yourself to employ this skill are all the requirements to aim effectively while using this strafing pattern

My first impression of the game was that it has a factor of luck but after a couple days and getting better I see why I thought that way
@GREED_EU
@GREED_EU 6 месяцев назад
It does have many RNG factors. Spraying, first bullet accuracy, and movement inconsistency are some of the most prevalent, and are the main reasons I think Valorant is the least competitive, and most boring FPS game out in recent time.

People in voltaic have said to aim train on double your sens to build more mouse control but im trying it and I don't know if it's a good thing to do because now im just underflicking a lot. My default is 0.33 700 dpi (valorant)

only thing close to this i have heard from voltaic is from bardoz and his routine in which you play a scenario on 2x smaller sens and then you play it at your normal sens
