Felt this..., been saying "I'll start next month/year" since years. I'm 26 now and still 'not ready'. I just said fuck it and called that production company for a job as a unit stills photographer and it was probably the best decision I have ever made. Wish I made that decision earlier but better late than never.

Very true. I opened youtube I 2005, started making videos in 2017! Takes guts to get up and go. I waited years to buy a camera, I could have used a lot of other things instead, but did exactly what you mentioned. Anyone reading this, just go for it! No regrets.

Yes 🙌🏼 I recently had the epiphany to switch from client commercial work to creative documentaries and short films. Writing scripts and making random movies was all I did as a kid, but when I grew older I thought client work was the only “realistic” approach to do what I love. Currently putting myself out there and building my creative portfolio with other filmmakers that are inspiring me day by day; I’ve never felt more fulfilled. Having a beginner mindset is in many ways a blessing in disguise

I’m the same way man I self doubt myself on everything I built a race truck and without a garage working in a car port I built a damn nice truck I wanted to film it and put the journey on RU-vid but I self doubt “no one wants to watch me” , my works not good enough etc … also people always ask me to do work on there cars and I do the same “no sorry” cause in the back of my head I’m like eh I’m not good enough it really sucks being in your own head but maybe this video is what we need to make that step…

The problem with waiting for the right time is most cases you also start thinking of the negatives, why you shouldn't do the thing and you end giving up and not even doing due to these excuses, Mine is getting a better phone...to start filming and there are times i just want to give up and follow the safer road but i guess i should trust the process.. bless up everybody

Every idea is the right time for me. When I'm done making my video then I feel a sense of accomplishments. My Mindset is, I've been on RU-vid since the beginning and I didn't stop there so Why Would I stop Now, yeah I may not be getting thousands of Subs but I'm Growing and that's all that matter, small or Large I'm Grown and that's enough for me. I feel the same. Whenever I get big ideas or inspiration about a new project I have this tendency to pull myself away from it. Largely because there's too much planning & organizing to get through, so I guess I get intimidated by the whole preparation thing. Bright ideas but just a lot of work. Funny though.... I get afraid and stall myself from doing any work for about two or even longer weeks but basically end up jumping into the project anyways lol. So as you said, it's just the best to close eyes and jumpstart blindly and get the head start that I always wanted. Anyways, interesting food for thought. Thanks!

I was stagnent for really long, saying I needed a better camera. I saved up for six months and bought a new camera. Nothing changed... Then I realized that the camera wasn't the thing I was waiting for, I was the thing I was waiting for. Other than that, I've lately been procrastinating all my passion projects because I want them to be PERFECT so they end up just wasting space on my hard drive and the passion starts dying out inside of me and honestly, this video, today, motivates me to start editing those clips and touching up those picture lying on my hard drive and to DO something with them, NOW.
