I'm a college softball athelte and I relate to the wasting time, I've hung out with the wrong ppl and fell into sin, drinking, partying every weekend when I've couldve been studying for my Nursing exams....the consequences was real and now that its summer I completely disconnected from posting on my Insta and Snap, I got a gym membership for me and my mom, started hanging out more with my family, and recently just started going to chruch again, life has just been so peaceful 💗

I know that’s right, you better minister! I’m in a discipleship development class at church, and we’re reading Romans 12 to learn about spiritual gifts. I feel like this kinda relate a bit, cause when you living for God, this can be a time to start thinking about the gifts He gave you to glorify Him & the kingdom. Whether that is leadership, serving, faith, giving, etc. Romans 12:2 says it best, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will”. I could go deeper about this fr, cause I’m still learning myself. Once you really put your trust in God, and do your part to work, things are gonna moveeeee. Faith without works is dead. Big dead. I’m def a witness to that! Good talk gang🙏🏾

I find that "I'm waiting on God" sometimes translates to be 1 of the 3 things: 1-" I'm actually not organized enough to accomplish the task, so I need God to spell it out for me" ,2- "I'm scared and scarred by my past failures that I'm not confident that this move is right", 3-What I say I want to do isn't as important as me not doing it at the moment but I don't want to tell you that".
I think with Age and experience comes the courage and bravery. One important thing The Most High emphasised in the Bible was being courageous. Young people tend to lack confidence because of fearing what people think. Building confidence from an early age is one of the best things you can do. The firmness in this conversation is what I can appreciate. God shows us in many ways how he’ll bless us if we just are obedient and actionable in the things we are meant to do, the things we’ve said we should do or want to do. Quick story time, I asked in prayer before work to allow me to be the highlight of someone’s day if that is by just a smile or giving a laugh. I went in w/ positivity & patience. About my 7th client for that day , 3 hours into my shift, they turn around and look me in my eyes to say to me “You have been the highlight of my day , I’ve enjoyed visiting w/ you”. I almost let out a large gasp because in that moment, what that showed me is how it looks to be intentional about my day. God matched my efforts and blessed me when I was intentional on a goal for the day. People can tell you all day something as such , but until you see it and feel it for yourself it may not resonate just yet. I’m still working on this worrying and fear thing, I’ve come a long way w/ it already. I’m ready to shed it completely. Because He’s been waiting on me and I no longer want to waste time or delay what God wants to bless me w/because of “fear”.
It’s been two books i read that say wrong move better than not making a move at all Now idk about that , but i do believe when God ordains your life he will always route you to where you need to be if you just take a step
Amen! Good message!! I didn't totally squander my early 20s thank God. I def had one foot in the world and one foot in God for sure, but I def grinded and by God's grace I'm still reaping from it. The difference is that I did most of it my way, and not God's way. I think when someone tunes into God's plan, you'll be on His timing. Might not make sense to others, but you gotta move when God says move. Our personal timelines are nothing to Yahweh.
