Same for me too! The past 4 years of isolation. At first I was heartbroken, afraid and alone. I used to cry a lot. But lately God has been revealing the reasons for my isolation. He's made his presence visible. And as I slowly begun learning to lean on Him only, to rely on him only as the true source of everything I need. He has supplied ALL of my needs unconditionally. Physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, even companionship. I'm so glad I learned to trust him!! Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus! O for grace to trust Him more. He walks with me and he talks with me and he tells me I am his own. "I will not leave you nor forsake you. I will not abandon you!"

He says clearly that He doesn't simply remove us from this world when He saves us: showing that we must still interact w/ the sinners, etc. Being insulated, tho, means that we have firm boundaries by which we limit with whom and in which circumstances. @@cslewiscentral i guess when everything goes well, there is no need for change or searching or stepping out of your usual, so as much as we dont want it in the moment, it is needed to be able to go beyond and make you stronger and more understanding of even more than words can explain. Just really tired and i come so close Everytime and wonder if next time will be the one that ends me. But ya, amazingly if i can overcome it yet again, i reach new levels of understanding and see so much more, and anything i experience and go through enables me to relate to others going through it as well, not to get them out, but to give them tools to apply for when they feel ready they will have all they need to get through and know they aren't alone. As much as you want to pull someone out, it may be too soon and they might miss out on important details, just be there. My mom finds it very difficult what i go through, she would love to help me but i have to keep letting her know to stop pushing, she may be pushing me off the edge, to simply be there and have quality time is more therapy and support than trying to fix me or what im going through. I really dont want to worry anyone around me that care about me, i simply want to push myself to a point, yes so close to the edge but the rush of being there is like a natural lsd. I dont do drugs so i need alternatives to reaching that high that opens up all my senses to see things i cant see when everything is going great. My dreams is amazing for that but often wake up too soon and cut short. I hope any of this helps in any way and yes i been through a lot. My main battles are within with myself.

I read that scripture when I was single and believed it was for me. Then I got married, and never felt more heart-wrenching loneliness in my life. My husband wants nothing to do with me. No intimacy for well over a decade. If I were more financially stable, I would leave. Staying is daily torment. Occasionally, the loneliness is momentarily relieved by my girls coming home. Most of the time, I’m hanging on mentally by a thread. 😢

I heard a preacher testimony and was rebuked and rejected by GOD, because he didn't make GOD the LORD of his life. It saddens me to hear that so many people will not make it into heaven, he said that out of 2,000 people who were judged only 50 made it. That was within a 15 minute window that was revealed to him. If a preacher had such a rebuke by GOD, what chance do I have? It really makes me feel hopeless.

Hebrews 10:24-25 also reminds us to "consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together." When we gather, whether in churches, small groups, or even online, we grow, sharpen each other, and reflect the fullness of God's love and grace. Your point about keeping scripture as the foundation of truth is also essential. There are many voices out there, but only God’s word stands firm, guiding us in His will. We must constantly check everything we hear, including messages from leaders, prophets, and ourselves, against scripture to ensure it aligns with God’s truth.

@@cslewiscentral If you view the Apostles as "isolated" from the main, larger group of believers, you realize that after a period of separation (to learn from Jesus) , they were then "sent out" to make disciples. John the Baptist was a "loner" and he received an incredible report (about his ministry) from Jesus. Also, Philip was given a (seemingly random) SOLO encounter with the Ethiopian eunuch in the desert. Rachel's point, while valid, assumes a lack of discernment in the believer. Jesus warned us about being deceived. Prayer is key.

Are we forgetting INTERCESSORY PRAYER! Many who PRAY FOR OTHERS do much more in the Spirit on their knees than many being around people daily. I didn't see this message as being told to isolate. Separate absolutely to the world and also for people who call themselves Christians but their works show different. What fellowship does light have with darkness? The Church is the BODY OF CHRIST (ephesians 1:23) you cannot go to Church you have to BE THE CHURCH and that is in solitude, prayer, work grocery store etc.
