When I moved from Silhouette from Cricut, I was blown away at how much easier it was to understand. This was in part b/c of y’all and a handful of other professional Cricut users. My Silhouette was giving me fits overtime. It just didn’t hold up as well as I thought it should. I LOVE my Cricut!

I literally feel what you're describing here. I've only been watching video and reading about Autism for a couple weeks or so because my 5 yo grandson was diagnosed as high functioning with a 126 IQ. And in doing so, I've started down the perverbial rabbit hole of adult diagnosed Autism and being able to identify with EVERYONE! I'm not claiming, but I am studying more about it before i bring it to my dr to see what they think. I've already been diagnosed with ADD and Bipolar with bad anxiety and depression (life-long) I am adopted so I don't know background info. My daughter had several MH diagnoses and committed suicide by hanging when my grandson was 4 mo. I admire you for all of you research and openness.

Very helpful tysm! I really wish Cricut would just get up to date once and for all and stop all of these updates. I’ve had mine for over 5 years and most times I still feel as if I don’t know what I’m doing because their changing things so much. I don’t hear of Siloutte doing major updates like this. It’s very inconvenient because users don’t have the time to be forced to relearn all of these tools! Sometimes at the drop of a dime. Thank goodness for your channel. Thank you for the assistance with ds functions. I thought I finally had them understood but I was so wrong. I took an entire page of notes from this video. The combine functions particularly have puzzled me, but now they are clear. Grouping vs attaching is definitely something I misused, so I will be doing it right now. I never knew about inset to make images sharper. I do love that new tool for my box! I have learned a new way to kern letters that will save time and frustration. The info on the "Sketch" function vs basic cut is indescribably valuable for me! Until seeing this video, I have struggled to remove background. This info is invaluable for me! Thank you for all of the info you gave in this video. MGL for the win again!!!!!!!!
If you have an upload that has lots of little dots/grain leftover that you don't want - you can duplicate your image, remove all contours, align centre and then slice. This way you can just delete the grain surrounding your upload without having to manually erase it.

I need something much more basic. No sign of any of the icons, where to even begin. I can open the program, look through designs, but that's it. All those buttons seen when being told to choose one just do not exist. I did find the little blue squares on the corners, but just played with resizing.
I am working on getting a laptop but right now I use a tablet. Obviously I don't get all the functions because of it. I use the crop function to see if everything is cut right.
Great and helpful video! But I hope you have a solution for something that I just can not get right...... I placed 3 images, exactly, where I want them on the screen in design space and clicked 'Attach'. However, I only want to cut out 2 of the 3 images so I clicked on the hid image eye for one of the images. When I click Make It, the 2 images I want to cut out have now been moved to a different area on the mat. 'How do I keep them in the exact area I originally placed them?' *Example: 3 smiley faces placed diagonally starting at the top left corner. Highlight all three and click 'Attach'. Now, click on the hid image eye and hide the smiley face in the top left corner. Now click Make It. Why did the two remaining smiley faces move to the top left corner?
After cricut run the sensor and said it cannot read the sensor line on DS, I cannot pull out the mat to use tape or sharpie right? Once mat is out i cannot cut that page anymore?
Contrary to what was said, "Unite" allows undoing the entire unite action and individual parts can be edited (moved/resized/rotated) any time later, where "Weld" makes it into one unit so that after you leave this project and come back you can't undo or edit the parts.
This is very helpful, but I will tell that as a newbie my BIGGEST frustrations are the text boxes and when I just want to highlight 1 box of an image or word and I go to the VERY bottom as far away from the others as possible...and everything will still be clumped together! So then I have to hide what I don't want atm and do it again. As far as the text box, I'm constantly clicking and double clicking and triple clicking to get into the box to fix a word or add it to the others. It is NEVER as easy as all of you experts who just seem to "click" and type and I have been doing this for 2 months and cannot figure it out! Oh also, I have hundreds of fonts that I uploaded to DS, can I find sketch or writing fonts in there by typing in those key words?
Just how old is this video? I just downloaded circuit design space and have found most if not all videos on RU-vid do not match the design space I have on my iPad. Thus I get to play the hide and seek game with circuit design space. This tells me most people that produce videos are using out dated information about design space. I wish Cricut would quit changing the physical layout of design space. Don’t tell me it’s different because I’m using an iPad!
