I was curious about the two "dealer / collector" units at Coffs when they were on Ibid. Too far for me to do viably (I am in Albury), but good to see what was in one of them.
@@DannyFlippingDeals While I have picked up a couple of local units, I generally have to buy out of Melbourne (a little over the same distance you did), or Sydney (about 600 km each way). I auction rather than retail, so my business model is very different to yours, and some of the junk that looks like it should go to the tip will sell with decent competition. Since I can usually break up a 6m x 3m unit into about 120 to 150 lots, the costs average out okay to run unreserved auctions that buyers will travel for, and also include regional vendors and deceased estates on commission. I have only lost on two out of about 35 units, but one of those was an old hoarder lot from Adelaide. It was the type of lot I thought it was, but it would have been raided when it was removed from the house into storage by whoever was cleaning up the estate. Luckily it was the unit after my best one so far, so wasn't as hard a hit as it could have been.
Exactly what I plan to do moving forward. I made a post about it yesterday on my Instagram. Message me there. Would love to chat 😊 I’m currently setting up a shed to auction out of moving forward 😊
You should just collect everything you don’t want to sell in the shop and do a store at the Sunday car boot sale, even if you put the stuff out for cheap, you will get people buying most things and then at least you recover more money
Good video so far mate. Not sure if you realised or not but at 18:18 you had a Nintendo 3DS xl case in your hand. Might have had some games or even the console in it.
I missed seeing the 'ducklings'. Unfortunately, there was nothing in that unit for the boys. It would be a fantasy if the boys would start up the rotary hoe and grow a vege garden. I am amazed that you knew what every item was, and its approximate value. I am guaranteed to learn with each video.
