Route work is super competitive where I am. Bucket bobs doing it for less than a buck! Fish is super cheap this area to. Makes it super hard to make money here on route. I'm at the 2-4 range on storefront. I'm all about quality. I've gotten some from them showing the difference in quality. Sadly, most places don't seem to care. I just can't leave crappy frames and drips that Bucket bobs do. Residential and dealerships is my main driver. Have a great day.

You mentioned $2 per side for a regular schedule of 4-8 weeks. Would you charge the same per pane rate or minimum for weekly customers? Thanks for the videos and the help

Gotta get a deal to get in . Start at 10 cents a pane and raise up each quarter until you're at 2 bucks per pane and making bank. Works amazing

For the most part, I consider myself much better off just catering to residential only. I bid a few commercial jobs when they come to me, but I certainly do not go to businesses to get their business. Has proven to be a waste of my time.

Hey SteveO, irrelevant to the video but how are your residential fall wfp cleans? It’s my first year in business and it can get fairly cool during fall time, do you have more difficultly with pure water not drying as fast and would homes take longer?

Hey, it will definitely take longer with cooler temps, but agitate and rinse well and you'll be fine

When its agreed on they want to hire you, I typically suggest once every 4 weeks

what do you do when storefronts have big displays of things in the windows and you really can't get to them, cover them, or realistically relocate things to clean the window? Am I overthinking it or are there some windows you just can't really get to?

if its like a "hobby lobby" then I do ask the customer's employees to help move stuff. Or only clean the inside windows that are accessible. But I wouldn't take the time to move everything unless I am billing extra

What tips would you give to someone bidding on commercial solar cleaning? Here in SoCal we have tons of 500,000+ sq ft warehouses covered with solar panels

For solar fields or warehouses I would charge at least $5 panel, I have not a lot of that work but I find that to be competitive pricing

Just a question let say a stores has 4 big windows 🪟 and a door. Would 120 minimum good just the outside.

seems pretty steep for commercial, will it take an hour? i try and bid to get my 100$/h while doing my bids, so 20min job i try to bid 30-35$. i find charging minimum works really well with residential but commercial i find it trickier

Do you place a standard service fee on your visit for storefront jobs or residential

No standard service fee, put always a $40 minimum

Im about to do my first residential/small storefront cleaning, in like 2-3 days. I've been just learning this stuff and saw that you have great videos about this man, thank you. Do you have any tips how to make your first clients? I dont have any reputation and am probably not the best cleaner. Just walk into stores and offer them a cleaning or write them an email (for example), also same with the residentials. thanks for your content and I hope someone replies

Hey, for getting your first clients, cold calling like you’re doing can definitely work, also door hangers for residential can be helpful. Be yourself, make sure to always leave a quote, always ask “when” they want to get on the schedule, not “if” they want to get on the schedule.

I have a building that wants a quote it’s 15 windows with glass door entrance if I priced it at what you said it would be like 60$ is that good or bad I’d say it would take an hour or maybe even more since I’m jus starting out

Yea if it’s on a regular schedule, 15 windows in/out should take about 30 minutes

Hey Steve I'm really struggling on windows with very small lips on the edge when Im using my squeegee the edge of my rubber keeps hopping onto the edge of the window and missing solution on the edges of the window!

Practice practice and more practice, I struggled with the same thing starting out, something that helps is using a smaller squeegee and then once you feel confident with it, move up to a larger squeegee

When cleaning storefront windows, how much emphasis do you put into cleaning up commercial window frames (painted/metal)? Or is that always an up charge? Some are very dirty and I find myself spending too much time on them, thinking I’m leaving money on the table. Anyone relate?

Always an up charge, I wipe them down so there is not residual soap all over it but I am there to clean the glass

Dang, I'm here in texas charging 10 to 15 to 20 usd per window 😂. But I'm fairly new and I had never heard anyone address window cleaning prices so I just went with what i thought was reasonable for me.

I’m in Texas and was about to quote my first storefront $90 for inside and out, 6 tall windows so 12 sides (including front doors) in a shopping center. I’d never work for the prices he’s saying.

Yes, for storefronts $35-$40, typically commercial/mid rise always above minimums but at least $149 ish
