I served in Iraq with the 1st battalion 87th Infantry regiment 10th Mountain division. I can tell you with firsthand experience that our interpreters were true Patriots of their country. And I would go back to hell with them. This story made me so damn happy for this true American. Welcome home brother!
I was born and raised in Watertown, never was able to serve our country as I have a blood disorder. But I tried like hell. Thank you for your service and I thank every foreign soilder that helped get my fellow Americans home to their family 🙏
Aziz’ story is the true American story. He’s not American just because he was born here. He’s American because he chose to be. He chose freedom. He chose democracy. And he fought for it. Not just for himself, but for his family and for everyone else. I’m proud to have him in our family now. Welcome to Texas, Aziz.
Lmfao a droplet in a bucket, man did youre country ever fuck over youre interpreters lol not us, not the polish, not the brits, not the italians, not the japanese, literally nobody but you guys, oh yeah true american haha
We're a Constitutional Republic with democratic elections but we're not a democracy. Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting what to have for dinner.
Yeah Aziz is a legend its a shame there was 100s more just like him and we left them all for dead there was some really good Afghani troops out there willing to listen and learn from us how to defend themselves and their country it was one of the saddest days of my life having to walk away from guys we thought of as brothers im so happy there was guys like chadd who wouldn't take no for an answer and helped some of these good guys get a new life in America and the u.k godbless them all 🏴💙🇺🇸👊👊👊✌
Here I am, 36, two deployments.. crying like a kid, just moved by this story. Thank you - knowing that something good happened at this shitty end that it was.
Yeah. I feel that way too. I was a helo guy and had no personal involvement with terps. But two of the proudest missions I flew were supporting the first free election in Iraq; and flying teams of female medics and doctors out to villages to treat local women who were denied medical care. I feel terrible about the way the Afghan war ended, but I think the way Iraq ended was just as bad. We pulled out and isis took over. I’m glad some of them made it out ok.
Me too bro I'm 43 and this story really moved me Aziz deserves to be a u.s citizen after all the risks he took to protect our servicemen and women what a guy and thanks to chadd for never taking no for an answer and getting his brother home safe its just a shame there was 100s more just like this story and not all of them made it home thank you Aziz and chadd for being out there protecting us green army guys you are both legends thank you both so much i wish you a long happy life 🏴💙🇺🇸👊👊👊✌
I had the honor of meeting both of these amazing men: the focus and flippable switch from seemingly complete ease to intensity were expected. Their incredible kindness and intentionality were not. In a world that advertises millions of "idols," "icons," "influencers," and "role models" that universally disappoint, Chad and Aziz are men genuinely worthy of looking up to as men who are dangerous and under control, accomplished and refuse to settle for the apparently possible, and of deep character that doesn't compromise.
This is one of the best human stories I've seen on this channel, and there's many very good ones. Aziz will be an excellent American, as will his six children. Every Western country that fought in Afghanistan had some excellent interpreters working with them. Guys like Aziz stuck their necks out to defend our soldiers over and over again. It would have been a very rough job. It made them huge targets for the Taliban and insurgent types of all sorts. They were effectively marked for death if the Taliban took the country back. And the Taliban took the country back. Chad Robicheaux's efforts in getting Aziz out of Afghanistan at such a tumultuous time are to be truly commended. That would have been really, really difficult. I'm so glad they were all able to make it happen. Aziz and his family are safe, thanks to some very grateful and resourceful people. God bless you all. From an appreciative Australian. I have no doubt that people like Aziz will make the best kind of American.
Aziz, thank you for your service in supporting our service members and our country’s values. I am humbled and truly grateful that I will call you a fellow American in a few years after the naturalization process. Chad, thank you and all the other veterans and people around the world who risked their own lives to allow another human being to live their life in a democracy where freedom reigns. 🇺🇸 🗽
I was embedded with the ANCOP as a mentor on one of my trips to Afghanistan. I fought side by side with our Afghans. They fought and died for their freedoms and I miss them.
This is by far one of the best, if not the best video brcc has put out! The intensity of this whole story is almost unmanageable. Chad is the embodiment of a hero and Patriot! 🇺🇲🙏
I was never in the military, but many of my friends were. Welcome to Texas Aziz, I'm glad you and your countrymen who assisted our people are here and safe.
The stories are great but what I appreciated the most is the slow time break down of the incident on the range with both the guys afterwards. So insightful and adds so much depth to the story.
Makes me very proud that knowing you guys share all the stories of Americans supporting and fighting for us at home. Thank you and to to the brave men and women whom fight for us. I watch every single video you guys put out. Coming from my military family...Really thank you all for your service
I love seeing elite warriors come home its a privilege to get to hear thier stories of their courageous efforts and battles i love the elite warriors that fought alongside our warriors with a brotherhood felt and forged through hardships on an international scale
This story warmed my hear I'm an ex British infantry vet and I agree they are real warriors patriots will give there life for your and many have done love this story glad it had a happy ending and all his family can live free and happy now ❤
Axis risked everything. Man’s got balls of steel. So glad he and his family got out. From one Texan to another, welcome home. Thank you BRCC for bringing this story to light. You guys might not know this, but you’re not just a coffee company, you’re a movement that this country desperately needs.
I'm glad you got your ally and friend here to safety. My daughter's fiance' was involved in the withdrawal and is currently suffering with significant PTSD.
Incredible story. Robichaux wasn't the only Chad on that battlefield. ANA terps for ISAF earned thier right to asylum. Very well highlighted by BRCC Good on you.
Aziz!!!...We love ya bro. You're more of an American than some of the Americans born and raised here. Not only that, but you're a Soldier. You deserve the utmost respect...We need more men like you, Brother. And you lived the motto---Semper Fi 🤝🇺🇸. May God bless you and yours
What a great story and that’s what I call loyalty not only to your country but to your friends . Much respect for both me who sacrificed so much of there lives so we can sleep without the threat of some terrorist knocking on our front door .
BRCC does an exceptional job helping these folks tell their stories. When I'm feeling rich I even buy some of their coffee! Great work and continued success.
Happy to be a part of this great video. Professor Chad is a great teacher and mentor that has led a very interesting and amazing life. I am glad to see Black Rifle sharing amazing veteran stories like this one
This reminds me of my brother-in-law, Johnny, and his interpreter. Johnny served 4 tours in Afghanistan. After he got home he lost his battle with PTSD and shot himself. After his death, Johnny’s mom continued the work to get his interpreter and his family to the US. It took several years, but thankfully we got his interpreter and his family here in early 2020. The fact we left those in Afghanistan who bled for us is a disgrace. I’m ashamed of what we failed to do.
As a born and raised Texan i thank you for your sacrifices.I’m happy for you and your family making it here safe.Welcome to Texas.definitely picked the right state.
Sending Mad Respect to Aziz and Chad. You are both American Heroes and Worthy of honor from one Combat Vet to another. Thank You from the bottom of my heart.
Damn. This hits hard. Good work on both of your parts. I understand the connection you have with the local national (interpreter) you were assigned but it was up to you both to build on that and protect each other as brothers fighting for the same cause. Well done. This story brings me to tears of sorrow and joy at the same time. Semper Fi.
While I trained up for the sand pit I didn't end up going (Australian Army). The Lads that did went through hell like these guys did. And every single one of these guys, Australian, American, British etc., have this Digger's utmost respect👊👊👊
Watching this from India. My congratulations to Mr Aziz and his family. Hopefully things get better in Afghanistan in coming years. Aziz is truly a asset for US.
Didn’t expect to tear up at the end lol, what a great story and great ppl. Not that it means anything from me or anyone else, but we’re proud of you Aziz
Chad didn’t mention this, and I’m sure neither he nor Glenn would even care about the publicity, but a large reason why they were able to raise such a vast sum of money in such a short time frame was that Chad & Mighty Oaks had partnered with Glenn Beck and his Nazarene Fund. Both men were pounding the halls of Congress, the military, traveling to and from the UAE, and other places as well to get thousands of people evacuated. They did great things.
This is such a good and inspiring story. I dont think there will be a friendship, a bond even, like you two have anywhere in the world. Real Brotherhood. Thank you both for all you did, warriors.
Absoluteiy incredible video. The reenactment alone had me biting my nails. Aziz is a brother. Thank you both for your service on the field, with our veterans and on this app.
Glad to have a man like that in our great state and nation. Him and his children are what America was built on, hardworking smart people who want better for themselves we can use more of that.
Thank you for this storie, its completely changed my mind on the Afghan national army. god bless and rest in peace to all service members who fought an died in Afghanistan.
This was so heartwarming and inspiring... I honestly almost shed a tear. Chad did the right thing, even when it wasn't expedient or easy, to make every effort to help evacuate his friend and partner. Aziz spent years risking his life and the lives of his loved ones fighting for the freedom of his country. In the end, Aziz and his family get to enjoy the freedoms of being Americans, and we're all the better for it. Such an amazing story. Thanks for this one...
A great friend of mine was with Chad and several other current and former special ops guys in Afghanistan during and after the withdrawal, saving our allies that were left there. Saving Aziz is an amazing book and story. I am proud to say my best friend was part of it.
You both have a friend for life, thats beautiful. You obviously care fore each other, relying on each other, saving each others lives, this is really nice to see rolemodels like this, we need men like Aziz and Robichaux in the world to fight evil. I wish i could.
I had the privilege of meeting an Afghan former combat interpreter as he was my Uber driver on a trip into Sacramento. I didn’t appreciate, or even realize, the significance of this role and partnership. I could’ve chatted with this dude for hours-great guy. Much respect!
