Another great video, up early out in the cold and rain all for your viewers like me who really enjoy them. Showed this to my wife and we just find it had to believe from the nice wee millpond that we look at a year or two ago. No duck race today?
There were a few ducks missing from the last race. That certainly should have flushed them out! Yesterday a 1950's Bristol freighter aircraft arrived at Filton, Bristol where I retired from, having been brought back home for restoration all the way from an airfield in New Zealand.
Yes that Bristol sat for many year waiting to be cut up. Pleased it has gone to a good home. Ah, Bristol, I am helping a friend restore a 1953 Bristol 403 motor car.
Very interesting I joined Bristol aircraft as an apprentice in 1957 and I believe at that time the cars were still being made there in a corner of the Filton factory.
I had to wash off the salt from the sea spray on getting home! I wonder how those cars parked on top of one of the vents will fare for corrosion in a year or two from now!
