Nice video thanks for this. Lovely to see what your part of the world looks like. Beautiful really..but why is the ocean brown as far as the eye can see?..In my part of the world in stormy conditions the sea is blue with white caps not brown. Maybe a very shallow sea front? ..to kick up the sand and dirt?
The area has the outfall of a major long river called the Severn, near Gloucester, which brings down lots of brown silt from inland. This colours the sea and clogs up the harbours. The more stormy the weather is the more this gets stirred up towards the surface. You have to go towards Lynmouth along our coast before signs of that dissapear. It is more noticeable close up but from a distance the sea can reflect the blue sky and look much better!.
Ahh..thank you for the reply. I did not think of a river being close by. This happens in my area too. I live by the cascade mountains and river debris, dirt and silt run into the Puget Sound a couple times a year. Looking down on the sound from where I live, when the run off happens the water in the Sound is brown and you can see the line where the river run off stops and the sea (Puget Sound) begins.. beautiful area you live in. I love all things British but never been there. Hope to one day.
I have heard of the Cascade Mountains. It sounds a good place to be! Its great that RU-vid lets us see all sorts of interesting events and scenery from around the world.
