If you want to see what Porthleven looks like WITHOUT a big fat storm hitting it. Then watch this peaceful edit here :) - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-y1_81KqvPEM.html

biscuitsalive, it used to be better during the stormy ⛈ season, because the grockles were back up north... And that’s unfortunately changing now...

Ah, good ol' Porthleven. It always looks sort of dour there, in fair or stormy weather. I saw a piskie there once on that road that leads out to the pier/ harbour entrance😉, and I have lots of good memories there. Cornwall in general is wonderful, mysterious and beautiful, but some places there are really special.

Highgate Angel that’s because of the history of the place, the legends of pirates and of course the legend of King Arthur, the mystery of wizards, I would question your comment about seeing a Piskie I hate to break the illusion but I don’t think they exist, but you want to believe in them then go ahead. I live in Cornwall in a lovely little village called St Buryan, close to Penzance, a wonderful place, with wonderful people.

The small brick building that juts into the sea on this video is the old Lifeboat station. I was in there, along with 11 other people, on a stained glass workshop when this footage was shot. It was very exciting, with the waves crashing up the side and the odd leak through the windows, but we were all perfectly safe. Huge thanks to the Porthleven coastguard who called in on us to make sure we were alright. He was responding to a report that we were trapped inside but was pleased to see that we were quietly working away on our “masterpieces”.

Why did you go to do stained glass in a building next to the shore during a named winter storm? Why not stay home that day. Sure it was an experience but if something had happened you would have just sucked up emergency services needed elsewhere. Well at least you got to work on your stained glass , and you have a story for the wine bar.

Seattle and the UK actually have similar climates, albeit Seattle sees a drying trend in the summer (whereas the UK generally does not). The Washington coast is even more similar climate-wise. Cornwall also seemed to be within the storm's "dry slot" for a period of time, that would explain the lack of clouds. Please see this satellite imagery after the storm became extratropical (Ophelia was originally a hurricane over warmer waters to the southwest): en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Ophelia_(2017)#/media/File:Ophelia_16_October_2017.png

I have, and I recommend visiting Lizard village, Housel Bay with its lighthouse and Kennack Sands near Ruan Minor. (About 45 minutes drive from where I stayed on Lizard Point.) The place we stayed was directly above Housel Bay, next door to the Housel Bay Hotel. (If you ever go down there, look for a place called Morwen.) You really need to spend a minimum of 2 weeks if you go, because there's so much great stuff to see! (Oh yeah, and you'll need your own transport too! Some of the places are a bit spread out!) Good luck!

Mauricio Murga Silva Santisteban I think I would have to be very bored to make a vid out of that. (Doesn't mean it won't happen XD) But I just use a blower, a lens pen (for sensor) and those disposable ziess lens wipes. (For lens) then a basic lens cloth for final pass. (Wet lens wipes leave a tiny bit of residue.) Plus I'm no expert. I may suggest something that a pro camera maintenance guy would frown at regarding sensor. Last tip. Obviously do all above using very bright light (I use head torch) And in a low dust low air move meant environ. (Close windows etc)
