Like the videos. I been there only not on side by side. People that have not done something like this is incapable of understanding how much they cost farmers. They just whine about how much groceries cost.
*Lone Star Boars* And we enjoy watching you tear-it-up, us hunters from way up North would climb over a picket fence in a hail storm just for the opportunity. Thank-you sir for taking the time to bring us along. GOD Bless.
Sounds like the stormtrooper comments are coming from people not educated in firearms or general ballistics. Probably the same people who thought your NODS was a gun pointing at the driver😂
You know you have to have fun with the Storm Trooper crap. I do expect the Hog Father to go out soon as Hog trooper in full storm trooper suit. Just need to get some to set up a helmet with the thermal and night vision built in.
Keep it up Todd!!! Piggy plinking at its finest!!! Hitting a moving target in a thermal screen is harder than it looks on recordings. They have no idea how fast a group scatters once the first shot is fired…
My only concern and interest was if you circle back and finish them off but you addressed that thank you. Just seems wrong to shoot and not finish the job but I enjoy the videos tbh there's always loads of boars they seem to breed fast
Thank you for the education. I'm not knownledgable in guns but I knew something was up. If it was your livelihood then obviously getting the hits would be very important. I find the comments funny but some that are just down right uneducated are less so. Would love to see more of your work because it's a world that I know nothing about but find very interesting.
i think it might be the camera angle that are making people confused, but as a person who has never shot a gun, the dirt flying in the air might as well have been shots that went through em
People just don't know. I didn't know until a few years ago. A guy I worked with had a lease and he talked about how ruthless, smart, fast, and huge those hogs are. He said he's ended a few only to find several bullets already lodged from previous attempts - apparently they've got something of a natural shield in the chest area between the front two legs. He said they basically never stop growing and they breed like rabbits.
Kinda reminds me 2 scenes. 1 from Full Metal Jacket when they flew UH-1 (if you know you know) and second from Black Hawk Down right in the beggining where delta shot a hog from a chopper.... And what is going on here feels somewhat in between.
A couple of years ago you had a video in which you were in an electric UTV (a dealer in Lubbock?). While using your gas UTV is undoubtedly tons of fun, I can't help but wonder what the results would be on the pigs if you used the stealth of an electric model.
@LoneStarBoars I realize the one in this video is gas, but the one in a video from a few years ago was electric as I recall you mentioning how quiet it was. I've got an electric HiSun model, about $12k and I sneak up close on deer.
I'm curious if it's one of those instances where an electric ATV might be beneficial because it makes less noise? And is there a reason to take (what seems to be) 5.56 over 7.62? Cost/Availability i am guessing but I'd imagine a larger round would be better?
To be honest watching the short i'd tell the same thing... whole magazine and mostly misses. Watching the whole video in full screen i'm sure as hell that this is some pretty accurate shooting. More resolution means you see the difference between a hit on a boar and a miss into the dirt. Also target and shooter are in fast motion. I had trouble firing on a stationary target at 50 yards - but i'm german and most of us will never have a gun in their hand in their lifetime.
Could fence keep them out cause I mean if farmers are losing millions wouldn't spending money on fence be worth it? I feel like it would fix the problem on long term am no farmer tho so I idk
Those comments on the short. lmao.. Gamers and idiots not knowing how rifle rounds work on non digital things. I've chaperoned a few from that ilk on pig hunts for group functions. Get them out in woods and hills after dark, kill the lights, and push out of foot....full panic.
hi, and wow. I am shocked you got many? people complaining. I think you routinely drop more hogs with 1 round then most other channels. Yes the first shots are "easy" And yes I thought you were hitting more hogs more than usual 1 time. I am not surprised the problem is ammo.lol I also think your 8 yr. old son is doing better than I would. Most amazing to me? Many? people dont think hogs are a problem.I am sure these same people will call for better birth control - Maybe you can volunteer them to go into the field and put condoms on hogs? I think that would be a great video. I am most impressed at your tactics for shooting hogs. You always seem to keep them from "running away" better then other channels- good luck.
