Hi, After installing new Boardnamics BN M1-AT Gear Drive on my Lacroix electric skateboard 12s4p p42a 21700 molicel and replacing motors from 6389's to 63100's the board would not charge. Charger showed green as if fully charged but was no charge left. After downloading the xiaoxiangBMS app it started to charge properly again! But now It will not charge again. The battery shows fully charged in xiao & stormcore app and shows green light on charger again but it is not fully charged. I'm seeing: - a MOSFET software locked alarm and also: - A cell over voltage protection alarm

this video can be used for MakerX esc | MBoards DV6s + Bluetooth Module? Or are they different configurations?
@MBoardsco

Settings would be very similar, we will make a MakerX specific version soon

@@MBoardsco I just bought this esc from you and I'm going to need to configure it, it would be great to know how to do that!!!

Absolutely, these units are brand new. As soon as we can we’ll release new videos on each unit.

I just programmed my dv6s and it was fairly similar. I’d suggest using a MacBook and wire the esc to the computer. ( i needed a type c usb adapter to plug into the MacBook). RB-emotion has a good makerx program vid too.

do you need antispark here?

No, the Stormcore comes with a power button

Hi is it possible to say power your esc with a desktop power supply? what would be the minimum voltage / amperage needed? I have a Xenith v2.1 and also does the phase wire orientation matter for the Xenith? or is that just a storm core thing?

Just wanna say that using 45a per cell with p42a is crazy. The voltage sag will be around 75% of the battery's capacity maybe even more, also the cells must heat up crazily fast. Even 35a is a lot lot and you lose 50% of your battery in an instant. Also the regen current shouldn't be dictated by the battery's regular charge value, not even the max charge value. It should be set so that the board brakes as one needs in high speeds. With 16a regen if you are going 50 kmh your brakes will be really bad. Even if it might lower the battery's lifespan, it's better than end up in a hospital because of barely functioning brakes.

@MBoardsco Год назад
Have you used P42A cells before? Voltage sag is a non issue compared to other cells the industry has used in the past- though this video is all about max values. We do recommend that everything gets toned down if possible to preserve your hardware. Regen alone does not solely dictate your braking power.

@@MBoardsco But Esk8 Spirit is correct about the voltage sag, the last 25% of a ride using 45a per cell group the power is non-existent. I like and use p42a cells but the 45a continuous claim is bogus, 30a max, 25a if you want the cells to last a long time. You guys are also running the battery below 3v per cell, while it's a doable thing pairing that with max discharge is gonna eat through the lifespan of your pack, 36v should be max cutoff.
@MBoardsco
@MBoardsco Год назад
Again, we’re talking about absolute max values here. I’d always recommend reducing these as much as possible and run your hardware as conservatively as possible. These numbers also illustrate that there are limits to the stormcore and even if you did want to run each cell at 45a, the stormcore will bottleneck you anyways. The tutorial is meant to show you how to find your own numbers, not copy these. We run our cutoffs quite low at the shop, we almost never truly drain our packs this low, but we leave our setting low just incase we really really need that extra bit. We are certainly not trying to “milk” our customers. They have every ability to change their cutoff voltage if they choose. We’ve had a completely fine experience running these values. They work for us and our hardware. In our mind, we’d rather have they extra juice just incase, but plan our rides so we aren’t at 0% when we’re done riding. Sounds like adding a “conservative”, “moderate”, and “aggressive” tag to extra values to the worksheet would help a lot.

Hey! I’d just like to ask if Backfire’s 6 Star ABEC pulley that’s meant for Cloudwheels would fit on the 97mm Mboard wheels you guys offer. I know ABECs can differ from eachother, so I thought I’d ask!
