In this stormgate game we see the vanguard versus the infernal host battling it out on secluded grove. It was an interesting playstyle from the vanguard faction ignoring tier 1 units entirely. #stormgate
@@magnumxlpi have you played it? They also just updated the community on the visuals. It plays extremely well. I thought it looked like shit til I played it. The engine is really well built
this guys saw that the enemy was full in gaunts and decide to: 1- ignore the unit building 2- sacrifice the defense for a fast expansion 3- invest in fast tech 4- make the most tanky, slow, big, less numerous, and hard counter of the gaunts and 5- go for a fast attack the enemy base using workers (aka. your economy!) for suport it yoooo wtf
Nice to see some Vulcan play, specially with Veterancy and/or BOB repair. I'm not a Vanguard player, but Vulcans are probably my favorite unit design in the whole game. They even give the Weavers the opportunity to shine as well in this matchup.
I just can't help but be disappointed whenever I see some of the celestial units. I actually like the less humanoid/organic designs, like the buildings, prism and the Kri especially, but the animancers and archangels just look PAINFULLY generic, like they lost confidence in original visual design and just used League of Legends "women" models for their magic caster and generic transformer-looking mech suits for their melee fighter. It wouldn't even be so bad if the archangels looked so fat and clumsy, they look like they'd crash under their own weight. Their attack animations, combined with the clunky model, look as brutish as the actual brutes from Infernals. The wings they have also look goofy and toy-like, and feels tacked on rather than integrated in the design. I also worry that the studio is not going to change the design direction of making the celestials--a supposed alien race--look indistinguishable from humans, especially because they put that celebrity guy's face on one of the characters so they'd probably want to get their money's worth regardless of whether it makes sense lore-wise or not.
I don’t enjoy the uninspired factions and universe that copy Blizzard. I don’t enjoy the antiquated calcified RTS mechanics that haven’t changed much since Warcraft and lack of innovation. Graphics are meh. The focus on Esports is lame.
