You can just use the sleeping gas grenade from your sling and take your sweet time hiting weak spot while it’s stunned. Works on tanathors as well.

If you use your Ikran's dodge roll ability, you can easily out-maneuver the stormglider in the air. I find that easier for lining up a shot than trying to do it on the ground, i put my ikran in hover mode and use my na'vi senses to highlight the weak spots as the stormglider is closing in, then try to line up a perfect shot. So far i havent gotten a clean kill but i have died way less than when i tried it while on the ground.

@@salelosaliloI payed 50$ for mine and it only took 1-2 days for me to complete the main story. some of the glitches and bugs are annoying which is something to expect from a game that’s fairly new and is still updating however you still have other things to do in the game like challenges and sides quests.

I made the strongest spear thrower i could which mine does 445 damage. Then wait for it to attack and just as it finishes its attack hold the shoot button while aiming at its weakspot and as long as you hit will get a clean kill. I've noticed after an attack it sits still for a couple of seconds so use that to your advantage

I know a lot of people use a heavy bow to go for a clean kill but I just used a spear-thrower because the storm glider went down faster that way. The base damage buffs I collected from the Warrior skill tree made up for the low that rolls anyway.

One thing people probably don't focus on myself included is by maxing crafting and the apex for it everytime you craft gear you get major stat bonuses compared to without, useful before using high end mats like stormglider horns and thanator teeth etc. That said I think i pulled a clean kill just not a merciful on the glider, I may go back and try again at this point even though my gear is all pretty high end already just to see if I can, if you use a skunk pod I know you can for sure stun a thanator buying time for a clean kill I imagine it can also be done on a glider but I have yet to test it.

It could be related to the Leonopteryx, or a subspecies, all and most flying creatures on pandora are related to each other, the Ikran is related to the Leonopteryx and the Stormglider, so the Stormglider is related to the Leonopteryx.

I have noticed that the stormglider does have a claw attack, and right when hes about to swing on his left side (your right) theres a short window of opportunity. I just found it tonight, but also to be fair, i can get close enough to it since i have over 2k health. It doesnt do much damage to me. I also have so'leks heavy bow, and have a ton of weak spot and wildlife damage. I can take it down in two regular shots, so i know for a fact if i can puncture that weakspot, it will definitely be a one shot clean kill.

I used exquisite spear and 50% damage increased food to get the perfect loot, difficult but not impossible.

The storm glider only has 1 set of eyes right? I've noticed there are "markings" in front of its Big eyes towards its nose that look like a second set of eyes...almost making it look like a great white shark in a way. If you're looking at it from those smaller set of eyes. I called them markings because that's what they look like to me. Just looks like part of its skin....and the devs had a little fun by making them look like eyes. Also I've yet to get a perfect material from storm glider. Always end up with the low tier numbers 60(tooth) 48(Horn) instead of 66 and 56. Extremely hard to kill one cleanly, let alone mercifully and cleanly. Not sure if you need both the mercy and clean kill for the high tier numbers or just the clean kill. 🤷

So riiight...my attempt was quite different..i made really good gear and weapons, made foods for the battle and i did kill it like in 3 hits when i was flying with ikran. But the funny part about this was that the Stromglider is now at the bottom of that lake AND OF COURSE I DIDN'T GET THE MATERIALS FROM IT!! Update | I got the second one xD

@@mathisntmybestsubject8440 Shot on the base of the neck. My heavy bow is got 254 stats,plus weak point damage mods. I always hunt them on land. On air you are an easy prey. If you check the hunters guide you can see where the weak points are, I just wait until they land and shoot when they are facing me.

Not a leonopteryx. Toruk from the first movie is a leo. This is a stormglider, a totally different flying predator.

Theres easier stormgliders to kill in the upper plains i usually kill the one in the island in the middle of the lake in the upper plains for max materials since its only a young one

I clean killed my fieat stormglider,It was my fourth one,i killed him in the great tusk going in the top Island ,waited to him for like a minutes to have the perfect shot when he was charging to attack me,i didn't know i could kill him with 1 shot but my 264 heavy bow menage to take him out,im soo happy,now i have to wait for an Hurricane,lets wait for a week 😂

you dont need a hurricane, just use food boosts to get perfect gathering and bonus stats when you gather, look up the recipes here and you wont have to wait for rng

I feel bad for thse Amazing predators of the sky btw that's a new species not a actual leonopteryx if it was i will cry ;-; but i wish you could tame and ride a stormglider into battle you can use talons to grrab onto helicopters and toss them around into another or on the side of a cliff thats what i want if your going into war

Yes. If you need a hand let me know as I can make high level gear I can drop for you if you want. In the weakspot can one shot the stromglider and thanators but otherwise will two shot. Can make a shortbow that does 204 damage, spearthrower with 405 damage snd a heavy bow with 345 damage and I have spare materials to craft more stuff so if you want me to make you high level gear and drop it for you let me know

I don’t understand this game. I’m just going to assume it’s broken at this point. I have perfect gathering effect and nimble gather II. I shoot them perfectly for a clean and merciful kill. But I still get terrible exquisite loot.

You get bonuses in stats if it clears the clean and merciful kill requirements. Meaning if you want to get the best gear you have to one-shot the stormglider at its weakpoint. The raririty will always be exquisite. If you are having difficulty you can join up co-op in a session with someone and they can drop the gear for you, granted they have done the above themselves.
