if you consider changing the droid looks, id redo them for b1's to be the infantry, commanders to be the commanders, security droids are the rocketlaunchers, and the green Kashyyyk gunners to be the heavy troopers. just a fun thought but man this was cool

It exists. Its called Star Wars Empire at war. I highly recommend the mods Fall of the Republic and Thrawns Revenge! Just as well there is exactly as you want, a sandbox mod that lets you place ships and hit play.

This reminded me of a fantasy game, Dark Messiah of might and magic, where you could use cheats to summon NPCs. I would put me in god mode, freeze time, then summon 10 guards and 1 Troll. Or 5 guards and 20 goblins. Or any combination of the sort, and I'd just watch it unfold. Sometimes when my shitty computer could handle it, it was the most epic thing I was ever given to see.
