I agree the meidas touch explained why stormy was on the stand.they explained very well that stormy daniels was there to support Michael Cohens testimony.the only reason the salacious stuff came out was because the defence didn t object.also her account of things like the room she was in was the bodyguard outside which if she was lying they would put him on the stand.she also said that trump said he and melania don t sleep in the same room.why doesn t defence call melania to refute this.she also said they met up and had a social relationship after.which means there are other witnesses. The main reason why they put her on the stand was because they showed Donald at an early rally saying he never met these women didn t know anything about them and they were there to destroy his campaign. She refuted a lot of that and showed why they can t put Donald on the stand.instead tyt are just concentrating on the salacious parts and not looking at what the prosecution is doing.which is destroying his credibility.

Whether they did or did not have sex, there was an NDA involving Michael Cohen and payments made to Stormy. This is a convoluted billing records and campaign finance case. Stormy's testimony is all distraction and has nothing to do with how the NDA was billed.

These are minor filing offences that they are trying to try as a felony. If, and that is a big if, he is found guilty, it will be for a few misdemeanor charges that will result in basically no punishment.

One possible defence is that Trump is a victim of blackmail. So they had to put her on the record. I agree many questions are irrelevant. But her overall testimony is required to prove that she was approached first... Rather than demanding payment. Its an important distinction.

She said that she hates the defendant and defies lawful court order to pay half a million dollars to him. This paints a very grim picture of her: angry woman, who is willing to break the law to see defendant to end up in prison. That is about as good of a witness that defence could have asked.
