Nice feel, but the jazzy part is not very close to the original lines as played by Allman Brothers on At Fillmore East....

Sorry all you fans but this is hopeless. Any one who wants to play the Blues Bass needs to understand the following. A slow Blues bassline is the foundation of a profound statement of human expression that is the Blues. listen to the great singers and guitarists and what they can do in that format( Peter Green and Otis Rush for instance) This version by the ABs is not a bad take on it. Everynight it would change depending on how the band felt and so the bassline would change too. Dirk, you might have a lovely bass but you play way to many notes, lose the root, use meaningless and distracting vibrato and "chords" and play over the vocals and instruments. Less is more, serve the song and LISTEN. This is nothing, nothing "very close" to the original. Playing a slow Blues Bassline with a drummer and a rhythm guitarist who understands this will bring out the best in the singers and guitarists. Stormy Monday is hard. Unlike most slow Blues it has a lot of chords so you really need to work out every note you should take out to give the song space and soul. John Mcvie and Willie Dixon are good starting points. Sorry to be harsh but if you want to play the Blues you have got to listen and feel. Do that and you will be a great player.

It may be close, but you should've been standing upright and a little more into it. I can play it note for note.
