48 First Alert Weather Day Wed/Thu. There will be at least two rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms that threaten North Alabama and Middle Tennessee. The first round will move into NW Alabama around 11am and last through 5pm. The second round would enter NW Alabama as early as 11pm Wednesday night and last through 5am Thursday morning. Both lines of storms will be tracking east-southeast at about 40-50 mph and potentially produce damaging winds in excess of 70 mph, frequent lightning, flooding rain. A brief tornado cannot be ruled out with either line. Power outages are likely and the second round will be overnight. Make sure you are prepared and stay weather alert.
