[Story 123] Free water spinach(kangkong) in the pond! Making kangkong balls and more!

In the countryside, there are tons of fresh ingredients that are free, nutritious and versatile when it comes to cooking. Today, I picked water spinach(kangkong) in the pond. I made three different dishes using what I got. Truly, you will never starve if you are hardworking and creative!

Hala ang sarap naman niyan, 3 menus ng kangkong 😮😋 pantawid gutom (ulam) namin ang kangkong (bukod sa sigarilyas) ng mga kapatid ko dati nung nasa province pa kami nakatira (Bicol) kahit walang sahog, yummy talaga 😋 sabi ko nga huwag lang kami mawalan ng bigas, kasi nagagawan ko ng paraan ang ulam namin sa araw-araw. Nasa Manila kasi Parents namin, kaya natuto ako ng maaga sa buhay ☺️

When I was growing up in the Philippines, there is a spring near our farm, which grows a lot of kangkong. We used to cook sinigang out of it but never did we cook some fancy recipes. I am amaze that you come up of some tasty recipes. One thing more it is only now that I am old to know that kangkong is considered one of the super vegetables to contain a lot of nutrients.

The stir fried kangkong is called apan-apan in our dialect and it's one of my favorite dish. Pork or ginamos can be added it can be spicy, sweet or sour. I'd choose apan-apan over frozen or processed food 👏🏻every👏🏻time👏🏻. Every bite of this dish reminds me of my childhood, it made me think that so much has changed and I wish to go back to the late 80's and 90's. It was so much fun back then.

@@gayyembenph ay salamat sa pag notice po. Tip if gusto ninyo i try i crisp muna ang pork b4 i mix or gisahin mo muna yung pork at ginamos masarap yun pramis. hehe Kahit yun na nga lang ulam ko ginisang ginamos with pork then lagyan ng calamansi mapaparami ka ng kain. 😄
