My neighbors in eastern Kansas had two of them. Each brother had one for their own farms, but they pretty much farmed their lands together.

There is a lot of satisfaction in setting up a plow and just letting it roll. Wheat stubble or clover and endless summer day.

My father has the same plow! The only difference is there's hardly any paint left on it. Its nice to see how the plow would have looked new being pulled by a IH tractor that also looks like new.

I saw an i4 McCormick Deering in the Dyersville Iowa tractor parade. big tractor power has a video of it. I did not get to see it close enough to ask the guy about it but it had I think a Coleman front wheel assist. Very nice looking tractor.

@donvoll2580 it is a mechanical system that makes the front wheels pull too. I am not sure if you could call it 4 wheel drive but the front wheels are powered.

@donvoll2580 they called it fwa for front wheel assist is why I am not sure it is 4wd. they were expensive to buy and I think it was a conversion by Coleman not ih. there was another company named Elwood that made a fwa conversion so could have been either one. red power magazine or yesterday's tractor co. has more information if you want to find out more. I am not any way an expert.

Actually the 'W' stands for Wheel as opposed to the IHC crawlers where the 'T' stood for Track.

I have one of those EcoTractors by John Deere that burns it own exhaust soot by a regeneration filter. A piece of junk...do Not buy one of them. Trouble every time you drive it to the field. These old tractors are the BEST!
