Seeing such a rare car reduced to this is so sad. It should be an actual crime to destroy such a rare piece of history like this. I fell in love with Marlins wheeler I was about 10 when a local guy had one in a turquoise main body with white accents. It was basically rust free other than some surface rust by the gas cap. Sadly it was totaled out when it’s owner got drunk and rear ended a car at high speeds and the front bumper ended up back over 2 1/2 ft from its factory location. Luckily nobody was killed but the car sat in his driveway for about 15 years and he refused to sell it, then one day it disappeared and about a week later it’s completely stripped of parts body turned up at the local junkyard so thoroughly stripped that not a single nut, bolt or screw remained. Sadly the rust free quarter panels and floor pan were not saved.
Wow, sad story. Yea it’s very unfortunate what happened to this car. We are saving it. We’ve rescued & sold over 30 this year so far. Some cool stuff coming up too
That poor car has had it rough, very hard to understand who wouldn't pick up all their parts when they pick up their car from a shop. I will have to look back through your video's, but didn't you have a Marlin on here before?
What a waste. I dunno, the story sounds kinda shaky. I'm more inclined to believe somebody used all the parts off of this car to restore another car or maybe even cars(pl).
It’s possible but the the guy who has it now told me the owner gave him a $2500 deposit to start working on it. And the fact that he called my buddy while trying to track down the owner. He did a search with the DMV on previous owners. I agree it doesn’t make sense how it all unfolded. Probably more to it. We’ve been able to track down a fair amount of parts already $$$$
@@budlanctot3060 thanks but to be honest I don’t think my buddy has intentions to actually restore it. He just wants to save it. He will likely gather what parts he can. Straighten out the messed up title & fix what rust issues he can & sell it to someone who will finish it. Maybe document much of that process on the YT channel
