Inflation in India is at nonsensical levels for a poor country. Dosa for 150 rs today vs 20 rs in 2004? Housing at US prices in India? What crap. Businesses in India are mimicking the west and try to fleece the public, but salary levels are no where comparable to what they are in other countries. We cannot have so much inflation in a poor and developing country like India.

I do not know why this vedio. 99% of people living in US ( Malayalee) never return to Kerala or India in normal. This family may be having different problems. Their children are US citizens. They will go back again. These people are, I think, having IT people. They will go back again to US to reap the fruits there. USA is a very good place for professionals people.

By what age it gets difficult for kids to adapt in India. We had a good family emergency and that makes me think, we would want to back permanently to India in some time. My daughter is currently 5, will it be too difficult for the child 3-4 years down the line when we would want to move back permanently?
@DesiReturn
@DesiReturn 2 месяца назад
Its better to move earlier as feasible. Once kids are in middle school it becomes more difficult to adapt. But keep those trips happening and kids excited about spending time in India during holidays and that would help with smooth transition

I see many of the comments are against the couple which seems to be just the grapes are sore kind of comments. I'm assuming some those folks are at this video just to convince themselves that life outside India is not great. Having said very realistic input from both the couple. It's actually interesting that they moved back when their daughter was pretty young in spite of having green card and US citizenship. Yes they do have the option of going back if they don't like it in India which is the I think primary takeaway here since as humans we want to have options always. Just one note that the guy is not very great at communication. It was so hard to listen to him for long 😊. She's certainly much more outspoken than him and it's clear that the move was more from his side than her and she obviously misses US more than him😊

First, have you renounced your US citizenship? Have your child(ren) renounced citizenship? If NO, then its all hogwash. Quality of material life & professional life in India is pathetic. Law & enforcement in India is best not discussed. Judiciary, people only have contempt for it. All these make a country as first world, which US is. There is nothing wrong in settling in US or other developed country if one gets an opportunity. But faking it for India is hypocritical.

Its not that in US or other country its cheap but at least its quick unlike here where u keep paying lawyers for decades. Cities are very dusty and dirty. Education is old and archaic. It is rote based edu even in unis (excepts a top few like IIT and its equivalent in law, business, commerce, journalism, history, ...etc.) Medical is like alibaba 40 theives. The thing which I do not like about USA/UK but many Indians thinks this is the reason why they have settled in USA. Many NRI think they have taken pain to live in west because of their child bright future but they do not realise your kids will have problemetic family life and they may suffer in their middle age by the time you will be gone from this wolrd. They will have to find partner on their own. Indian parent now do not want to marry their kid to those who are born and spend all their life in USA/UK so your kids will on their own like natives but if you look in natives a good percentage of them have relationship problem, many are not bale to find suitable partner by the age of 40. By the time of third generation stable family life condition deteriorates. Not all will have this fate but likelyhood of this is much higher by your third generation in usa than in India. Indian gets influenced by american culture living in India, just imagine how much your kids will be influenced by anglo saxon culture in USA from school. Most of them even religious will have less spritual connection to Hinduism, in India even athesit will have some spritual connection to Hinduism. The school holidays are according to christians. We do not realise how much indirectly this effect the kids and enforce feeling of minority. You are living with confident in USA because you have grown in India among your own people and by the time you gone usa your behaviour is not going to change, even you are miniority you will not have fear of minority in usa. But condition of your second and third generation is completley different. In Anglo saxon culutre the relationship between child and parent is not so deep like in Indian culture. As a result the relationship between your second and third generation will be not so deep like you and your parent. The second and third generation will suffer lonliness more in their old age or after middle age compare to you.

Long term goal - living with parents or in-laws, kids education in good/international schools, easy access to healthcare, overall things are cheaper compared to US/ you get help if you want/ more services n professional help. Write down what are your Short term goals : maybe find friends/ social circle, access to groceries, library, parks, at times free activities.

On top of that he demands 70 hours work week when paying only for 40 hours. My cousin in law who passed away with a cardiac arrest at 33 was not even reimbursed for death certificate cost of 10 dollars by Infosys. All you need is a 20 % commission agent in between to ensure more end client dollars are in your pocket as you work for any of the fortune 500 companies in USA as IT techie. You do not need INFOSYS as implementation partner dictating terms to you. Instead of working for 14 hours a day for 1 dollar per hour, work for 7 hours a day for 80 dollars per hour.
@poojasingh99999
@poojasingh99999 2 месяца назад
By your logic a person will earn just 12800 per month if they are paid 2 dollar per hour. Client allow infosys to increase head count by stanadard calculation of work 40hr per week per head. Infosys pay less to new joiners who needs some training and they are attached with senior who are working on project and get annual salary above 8 lakh. Many freshers are not good to start work immediately even as junior. The reason for this in engineering college in india people are not ready to even work as junior techie on client projects. I have seen few of them who were just ready to work as junior after 2 years on client project. I have guided few my relative on things like what they should learn to work independetly on project as junior dev. I never worked with infosys. This is good for those who take time to learn skill to start as junior on client project as this buy time and also they get payment. But it is bad for those who are already ready after college to work on client project. I do not like infosys but looking at this I appreciate infosys and tcs as this help lots of techie in IT to buy time and stands on their own legs in their carreer and change job after experience and exposure and move to good pay rise in other companies. This is not appreciation post for infosys but accpeting the fact that many people will lost job due to lack of skill and willnot get chance to survive in IT. This is due to indian college education systemm where theory is focussed more than practiclas. The things are changing, many students are skilling themselves on their own from college time. So this model of infosys and tcs will not work for long time.

@@nuranichandra2177 we can't or should not ever demand or force our children to stay back in India just so that they can look after us. It's kind of selfish in my perspective... We have to let our children explore, experience and grow on their own and we should provide our unconditional support. It should be their wish to live wherever they like...

Yes. My husband's elder sis came back with her husband as her in-laws wanted them to(getting old). She acted like such a sacrificial lamb, accepting the decision, then kept torturing everyone (she used to say "Your country" also), crib and crib and find fault with our country. Took my life out by daily torture and took it out on us, never let us be, Interfering , meddlesome, narrow minded creature. My husband I suffered/suffering. NRIs , please make an informed decision. very prescriptive stance..."do this", "think like that"....would've been more effective if they had shared more real examples of how they adjusted, things that worked, things that did not, day to day challenges - for example, when 18:11 the guy says, "life is not perfect" it would have been nice to give instances when they felt so rather than hammering the point about 'knowing why you want to come back'...the interviewer could have asked them to illustrate (interviewer needs to be more relaxed, and carry on a conversation rather than Q&A format)

If you listen to most of these people who return they might be having issues in their families or visas or something or the other. Very few come back to India because they like most things about India. The number of people surrendering their Indian citizenship is at record high currently. This was not the case in the past. Democracy is degenerating in India along with it everything eg. foreign policy. If a war comes, India is surrounded by China.

It's a great idea to spend six months in India and six months in the US. The freedom to come to India whenever you want and stay as long as you like is truly enjoyable. India definitely feels like home-a perfect place to unwind, relax, and enjoy. We've worked hard in the US, so my plan is to spend six months in India.

Whiteman designed this for indians to return. I also expect foreign made products and services get more attractive for consumption in India. Deals will be signed in world trade organization and west will come to sell more products and services over next 3 - 5 yrs.

This channel should be retitled: Instead of Desi Return it should be 'When Upper caste Hindus decide to play Both sides'. Interesting how their last names have been withheld. Pure politics here. Because this is very clear in how they are talking. Last ten years in India has been hell for Muslims and Dalits and democracy in general. These guys live in lalaland. Of course why should they be involved in politics you will ask. But that is why India has been turned into a nightmare where only upper castes now have the life they want which is to get minorities screwed and dalits humiliated. How can you not mention the fact that India's culture and food has been turned Majoritarian by constantly gutting the constitution. These are typical of the people who would have said lets not speak against Hitler because that is politics and it does not matter what he does to the Jewish people becasue thats politics. Lets just eat our sambar and make sure that the kid gets a quality education. Life is just an idily away from Happiness. Pathetic upper caste insularity. But a good channel to expose this upper caste mind set. Thanks

Ok so let’s discuss this. Muslims and Dalits lives have gotten worse? Muslims Haj is cheaper, monopoly of vendors is removed from haj products, instant theen talak has been removed. More reservation has been brought in for backward classes, by digitizing direct payments are made to the downtrodden removing corruption, toilets have been made across the country etc. the only people not directly befitting are upper caste Hindus but when infrastructure is built all are benefited so they are also befitted. India is racing towards becoming 3rd biggest economy. Gadgari ji has done a fantastic job with infrastructure. So other than the ones who want to see India fail everyone has benefitted. You are spewing castist venom but aren’t we all supposed to remove caste discrimination? If you don’t adjust your mindset only you will suffer. The fact less opinions are only encouraged in echo chambers not the real world.

@@Indicthoughts898 I dont normally respond to Andha Bhakts but since your facts are so hilarious let me just give you a couple of international stats on India . India is no longer considered to be even a democracy. The V-Dem institute for the first time ever lists it as an electoral autocracy. That is just for starters. Check out India's position on the Human rights index. 109 lower than several banana republics. As far as those toilets running without water, I have personally seen how they have cooked stats. Dont give us garbage. Muslims dont care for Haj, so even if cheaper. Who cares. You need to stop this communalism this hate that is spewed out regularly and killing of minorities with gau rakshaks and raping dalit women like at Hathras. Oh yes Yogi government killing people in encounters under police watch. Which friggin world you live in. Upper castes are losing their sanity with this Guju mafia. of Modani. Good you have exposed yourself as an upper caste hater of minorities and dalits and obcs. Shame on you.
