Thus it means proven finding) Would be nice to know what the Babylonian thought of that knowledge. The whole world knew about India. Vascodagama and Columbus went in search of India. Columbus landed on America unfortunately. If Babylonian founded the astrology, how come Ptolemy model got rooted there? Even Ramayana mentions about Srirama's time of birth thru Graha. First of all no one says India contributed all astrology there ! Astrology was practiced in every region in ancient times if you look closely, mainly being Persians (Iranians), Yavanas (Greeks ) etc Also he says we cant claim atrology from our part, the claim is when we refer our part, its the large part of Hinduism , which spanned many regions that time , just that we are only culture atleast some what continue its natural learning somehow even though most part adulterated later on ! Other regions like middle east and Iran etc Organised religions completely tried to remove it as a superstition, there by removed a big chunk of useful research work on it ! also astrology and astronomy used to be done by more or less same people! Galilio said to practice astrology with astronomy, but later church based historians said he wanted to earn livelihood by prediction nothing more ! Astrology is eye of Vedas means if it will give you deep insights whats is written in the Veda , I would say learning Veda or any those times stuff like Bhagavad gita wont be complete without horasashtra esp misunderstood things like caste systems! Also its one of the 6 limbs , so other limbs also connected with it! for eg Ayurveda , there is a way in astrology (yes, the ancient one! )you can identify what dosha you will have (like pitha, kapha and vatha), I am not saying anything from books , am learning myself these things as my own interest and am convinced with it completely ! another thing if you are a doctor , will you be that efficient in finding diseases and curing it after 5 years or 15 years of practicing it ? What is the efficiency the best doctor you know can claim ? 100 %? then I want to consult that doctor !! similarly hello, an astrologers job is both science in its own way and an art ! Art caz lot of times more than techniques , some intuition will help, but if you are just guessing without techniques , you are gambling ! and anything above 70 percent is a good thing , anything above 80 percent means you can settle rest of the 20% Like whether a person get a good occupation in the following year, astrologer can say withing certain months , not which week or day etc, unless some people who are too good in certain specific areas. One thing its NOT EASY to learn or master this craft , anyone who says is fooling himself or herself, a better man with astronomy more or less nail most of the calculation stuff in astrology, calculation is an important thing !! Even if there is so many software available , the person should know if that is the way it should be calculated !! sad to see 90% softwares available in India wrongly calculates the chart and people using it defends it !! Trust me if you learn correct way , it will open up a new world for you ! but its a hard and long journey !! unless some good teachers around the world (Yes world , they learnt from here , decoded it using astronomy and teaching online, where we can find best people like this guy in the video or some one from our place dont want to recalculate anything or dont want to re-learn !! )
