This would then imply that Sahn Uzal (because Mordekaiser and Sahn-Uzal were the same name in different languages) was literally names by his parents “Homicidal Emperor.” Best. Given. Name. Ever.
@@knssundrodb7284 Not necessarily, because like in the real world, same names can have different meanings in different cultures/languages. Still, it would be awesome xD
By lore, Mordekaiser is probably one of the most ridiculously powerful entities to every exist. But by League's in-game representation, if I could NOT get picked off by every early game ranged champion that'd be awesome.
Ochnun is described as "a tongue not spoken by the living." Sahn-Uzal became the Iron Revenant The Iron Revenant used its spirit name in Ochnun. The Iron Revenant is henceforth Mordekaiser. Mordekaiser roughly translates to Murder Emperor in German. Therefore... Ochnun is German.
I Just started playing lol and I was just thinking it this morning and then I watched this video and I see your comment!!! I would love such game so much!
@@iannovorita-music4704 Depends on their releationship, I mean Thanatos is extreemly reveered by Hades, but then again, Morde is not a nice character. Maybe he don't even know who Kindred is?
@@runeercool1 I d imagine he would atleast suspect them... even if Θανατος (thanatos...yes I speak greek) was not in good terms with pluto/hades he d atleast suspect a reason for souls showing up in the underworld (or souls that would fade away in the case of mordekaiser). Now this is just speculation but what if he knew of them through wispers of other souls not killed by him that would just fade eventually...well whatever it may be I hope some day a Morde-Kindred event takes place.
I'd love to see a scene where Mordekaiser kills Leblanc by choking her as she pleaded her last words that he will never be immortal. (Yea like the Loki death scene in IW)
Might be closer to Latin since morde almost sounds like Mortem with only one word missing and one word changed. Mortem is Death which in turn makes it Death Emperor either or its a cool title
He came he saw, He broke the law He has slain the people He broke the kings jaw He seiged and made He did not have a blade Yet a heavy mace Mordekaiser we praise His arms are strong His mace is long He made a bond With the realm beyond He is not a legend Nor a fairy tale Once he comes to visit We shall all go to hell
This story set up is a SUPER GREAT foundation to a MMO-esque raid! Just an entire story event based around the return of Mordekaiser with a map based on some runeterran place, let's say The Immortal Bastion. Where you pick champions to fight against Mordekaiser and his doom-bot army! I know it's just a dream, but it would just be so cool!!
Mordekaiser lore be like: I came I saw I came I saw I praise the lord and break the law I take what's mine and take some more It's rain it's pour its rain its pour
"not only did the Immortal Bastion serve as a seat of power..." I'm gonna stop you right there and continue with my own version not only did the Immortal Bastion serve as a seat of power but few realized it was also in the shape of his helmet
@@forbiddenextasis2695 Darkin can absolutely be killed. Vladimir even killed his own Darkin master, and took his essence after being taught blood magic. That's why he's over a millennia old. They already failed in the Darkin wars once, and there isn't nearly as many left. They're not taking over jack shit. Also, Morde can't be killed.. if it isn't apparently obvious at this point. He's told death to fuck off more than once, and he's now taking other souls at he pleases. From Vladimir, LeBlanc, and Swain lore, they all seem to be hinting at a "Darkness" that is coming.. that Swain is preparing for. It seems obvious that it's Morde, considering the end of Morde's story ends with, "And so, his final reign begins."
@@Scarorion Well the premise is very similar also. An unstoppable warlord taking over the world who gets defeated. But their soul still exists and tries to return, and if they were ever to return the whole world would have no chance of survival.
the ruined king isn't actually linked to mordekaiser we don't even know if they ever met at this point. We just know that he is responsible for the damnation of the blessed isles into the shadow isles.
I liked how he needed his whole skeleton to get revived so that eventually he became paranoid and build the immortal bastion to protect it, it gave reason to the immortal bastion, because now Morde lore just give me the feeling he just wanted to become an architect but he wasn't able to get into the school.
So, with knowing of this lore, we can guess that the Black Rose and now Swain know about Mordekaiser and potentially want to seal him forever into the dead realm. Myb the reason of Noxus expansion and collecting ALL FORMS OF POWER AND STRENGHT is to fight the Mordekaiser when he gets back ?
Given some recent stories involving Leblanc I can say with certainty that she is trying whatever she can to keep him sealed away and prepare weapons in case he does come back. Rell case in point.
@@Jan_Iedema ironically, rell is neither strong enough (from the sounds of it, morde has ferromancy too, so?)nor willing to fight morde after discovering what Leblanc has been doing
@@egekazkayas8968 seeing as she gave her worst and most powerful enemy exactly what he wanted, I’m starting to think that maybe she isn’t actually that smart.
I mean if space doggy boi (Aurelion sol) breaks his crown, then he can be a god again. Till then he is trapped to the mortal realm, bound because of his crown.
Xerath is the strongest according to studies, hes made out of pure Arcane Magic. Aatrox is probably 2nd, hes an Immortal being who wants to kill himself by ending all things. Sol is definitely way up there same with Morde.
@@kingcrimson4313 According to lore Pantheon fought against Aatrox and beat him, he also fought against Xerath (not confirmed to be Xerath) and atleast lived to tell the tale. And according to Pantheon himself, hes nowhere near the strongest around. Zoe is probably up there, considering shes a fully powered aspect and aspects are pretty much gods.
@@kapitanlyre Aatrox got beaten but he never really lost against Panth, he could kill him if he really had to. Heck, he even killed him once (but a different Pantheon). Zoe is prevented at her full power because the host has a mind of a child.
@@kingcrimson4313 He got his sword arm removed and had to flee, if that is not defeat then I have no idea what is. The one that Aatrox killed was the real Pantheon, the aspect himself, who at the time had taken over Atreus'es body, but once Atreus got his body back and healed up, he kicked Aatrox's ass. But on the power scale, Zoe, Panth and space doggy are definetely up there near the top. I suppose Soraka and Bard, being celestials are probably pretty strong too.
I wonder, since Mord is now a soul bound to armour, how will he interact with Thresh? At the moment it looks like his only two potential threats are Demacia and Thresh, Demacia with their anti magic armour and Thresh's ability to imprison souls might just be Runetera's best chance.
Imagine that, Mordekaiser is raging across the world and conquers everything. For once, all of the factions (Demacia, Noxus, Ionia, Freljord....) start to from an alliance against him. Their biggest hope being set in Demacian steel which repelled magic, but not even that could stop him and his army of the undead. Not even death themselves stand a chance (Kindred). The only hope was Thresh. The chain warden who had the ability to imprison souls of whoever dares to stand in his way. The mightiest leaders bow before thresh and beg for his help, but to no surprise Thresh only let out a single word,"Pathethic", as he started to laugh mist forming around him a shadowy figure appears. "Thank you chain warden, thank you for bringing me the leaders of the world to my feet, your assisstance shall be rewarded".
Morde will is too strong for thresh to take, Morde would end up controlling thresh much much easier and way faster before thresh could even dream of taking him
@@Rai_. Actually, since Thresh loves to torture his victims, would Mord not be the ultimate victim? Think about it, like you said Mord conquers most of Runetera, only to be stopped short of complete domination and forced to watch as all he has built be undone, with nothing he can do about it, no way back, no return, nothing. Still though, Mord is going to be an interesting influence on the lore of League
@@francois9811 but, as stated above Thresh is most likely too weak to kill Morde and torture him. Isn't it far more likely that morde would just strike a deal with thresh so thresh could enslave the strongest souls and give them to mordekaiser and he would get the weak ones to torture all he wants
You could put as much lore as you want in the game about a character but it doesn't change the fact that I run from one corner to the next trying to kill these characters and their nexus.
Wait a second I just remmembered something interesting Remmember when swains interactions came out? "He said one king sits in the mist while another one marches". Something like that i guess Does that mean swain was talking about Mordekaiser? Does that mean that riot even back then knew how they would rework mordekaiser?????? Just think about it
@@flyingspaghetti642 The Ruined King doesn't sit in the mist. He's already dead. Darius and Swain make more sense. Darius was going to be King but he decided to let Swain be King because Darius wanted to continue fighting and thought Swain would be better with the political duties.
I get where you coming from, but when you take into account that kindred in lore is a metaphysical concept, a myth representing death so to speak and does not actually physically exist in the world of lol, it makes sense. Someone like Mordekaiser, who has seen what death looks like, would not acknowledge a myth like Kindred.
@@emetanti expect he hasn't? He literally died, went into death and came back unto undeath. He most likely died by Lamb's arrow as he accepted his deathly condition.
@@Lugg187 Mordkaiser rules the death realm now though. He cannot be killed there and anyone who goes there is at his mercy. I think the Kindred can definitely send people to the Death Realm but can't control it. Also his whole story is about how he didn't accept dying and fading away.
Who would win in an all out brawl to the ‘death’, Aatrox or Mordekaiser?? When you said if mordekaiser came to runeterra nothing could stop him, I immediately thought of Aatrox screaming at him from the distance ‘IRON CLAD FOOL, YOUR DOOM-‘ etc etc
@@emeralddoge3725 Aatrox can't be killed. His entire being and purpose is to extinguish all life. Eventually he will, and then all that will remain is him trapped in that damned sword.
I belive that in the end when there's nothing left to kill Aatrox and Mordekaiser will keep fighting each other to eternity or as the void finally gets to Runaterra they found the world they want so much to consume is no more, and all that is left is 2 angry bois fighting just because that is all there is. True Apocalypse
i want the ruined king as like a wailing tormented spirit type champion, the closest we have is karthus but hes not like in pain or anyhting hes enjoying being dead. maybe someone who dosnt know theyre dead or something. more like a haunting cost than the other isle champs.
Im new to the game and somehow of all the like 100+ heroes to try, while looking through I saw his icon and went "ooh" and then tried him out. Now a couple weeks in Ive got dozens and dozens of matches, I guess hes my Main? Super fun to play and love his dark aesthetic.
Riot have confirmed on the forums that Morde's old story is getting replaced when he releases, like how Yuumi's short story was held for her release. He doesn't currently have a connection to the Isles and hasn't come back from death realm yet, although that may be the subject of his new story.
I had a question about one interesting thing with Mordekaiser: When he ult someone, and then kill the victim in his realm, after that he became a little bit bigger and with crown on his head. But the interesting thing is that what he don't have his normal helmet,he have q cloak. What it means?
I love how you're using a vrykul model with a sword - from WoW - in the beginning of the video as to represent Sahn-Uzal. XD Oh and the human ones as well
He used his name in the language of the dead... Mord(ger. Murder) - Kaiser(literally the Monarch of Austria who got assasinated and brought us into WW1) I don't think german is a dead language, but apperantly it is in League of Legends.
yes, Mordekaiser in German literally means "murderer emperor". But just for historys sake; the guy who was murdered in Sarajevo what started the first world war was not the Austrian emperor himself, but his nephew (who was also crown prince at the time)
i'm acciually thinking there's gonna be comming a new gamemode sooner or later, when mordekaiser acciualy gets permanently to runeterra. wherein we will have to defeat mordekaiser as he's trying to conqueror runeterra
Mordekaiser is far more dangerous than the Void. No one can stop him, maybe eccept for this 3 things: -All the original Darkins at full power (their "original" form) -Phanteon (?) -Full power Sol (he's a real god after all)
Where are the Mordekaiser and Nautilus interactions? PI figured they'd be interested in eachother, both bound to armor by force of will, but for different reasons of course. But then again nautilus is an old champion and could suffer from being outdated lorewise like Lux, but it's interesting nonetheless
What about a Mordekaiser - Lucian interaction or short story? You know, Mordekaiser is the king of the dead, but Senna’s spirit is not at the realm of the dead. Complicated, but can’t be unsolvable. I really would like to see Mordekaiser talking to Lucian about Senna.
After this it's a bit of a missed opportunity that Mordekaiser doesn't have an interaction with Kindred. Mordekaiser conquered the afterlife I could imagine him talking down to kindred in the same way he talked down to Karthus.
@@kingcrimson4313 That's.....a cool and Plausible Theory. It might not fit him on the outside perspective, but if you look deeper.....he might have made a band inside the Death Realm.
So if Mordekaiser were to permanently return, would he truly be unstoppable or is that just an opinion of those who fear him? Hypothetically, who would win the army of Ascended under Azir or Mordekaiser and his eternal army? Would the realm of the undead be affected by the void? I love how vast and deep the lore in League of Legends has become.
@mordekaiser the iron revenant yeah, aatrox dont comeback cause he doesnt go away either, he can't be killed. As long as there possible hosts. He can manifest others unlike mordekaiser who can only walk between mists and summoning rituals
So in the true realm of the dead there is a city made of the souls of the dead ruled by mordekaiser because he wanted to rule both the dead and the living. officially my new favorite champ
