Nalanda University was one of the first International Universities of the world. During its peak, it had more than 10000 students and 2000 teachers coming from all over the world. It was a peaceful place in Bihar, meant for education and meditation with over 9 lakh books and the biggest library of its time. And yet it was mercilessly destroyed by Bakhtiyar Khilji.
