Yup! I married Raegar in the original game and I was going to marry Neil in HM NB but I married Allen.

IKR I was legit saying the other day how i wished I could marry iris but can’t (cuz female) AND NOW I CAN

I married Iris's brother, but she is quite lovely, too!! I'm most excited for Neil, tho Ludus was my original bachelor that I wanted to marry. I got a game bug where i couldnt eat dinner with him anymore and I didn't want it to translate to marriage so i broke his heart. :( Maybe I'll unbreak it later lol ... P.S. I was screaming externally. More room out than in, right? xD

Worked for the less conventionally attractive bachelors of DS Cute, too! Not into facial hair, not huge on Marlin and think Rock’s terrible? Here, have the Mineral Town guys. Also, have this ridiculous bishounen phantom thief. (God I love Skye. The bizarre ‘chick beam’ thing that is brought up twice and never explored because it’s creepy. The suave phantom thief schtick and then immediately assuming your Blue Feather is for someone else. The leopard print shirts. He’s ridiculous and I love him.)

Right? Like, I didn’t even like Raeger in SoS1 but I’m gonna marry him in PoOT because everyone else is a let down.

I love Trio of Towns so much and I basically skipped through the video to see if TOT was included in the DLC and screamed when I saw them! When I initially played SOS TOT, I thought I’d marry Ludus. I ended up liking Hinata and Wayne more though, so lowkey bummed they weren’t included. Also, I like the twins over Lisette 🤷🏻‍♀️ I hope they add more or change the two marriage candidates from TOT in the DLC

same here T-T, I like when they give us "older" candidate options, especially when most of the cast can look pretty young sometimes, but at least it makes the decision to go with Neil that much easier lol

I agree, tbh. Raeger is hot and a pretty good character, but I definitely would have preferred Klaus! I loved him and Iris and it would have been fun to see them hanging out as friends again. It would have made sense, too, since he travels in SoS, anyway.

Maybe I'm just a curmudgeon but I feel like it works better here and Stardew than Animal Crossing and I feel like that one is an odd example. Mostly because I feel like with Animal Crossing they basically sacrificed having a more fleshed out game for 'live service relevance'. This and Stardew have at least been able to stand well without the extra stuff. But I miss the days when cosmetics were unlocked by just doing stuff and games had to keep you interested by base content because this stuff wasn't possible. Christ I'm old. 😹

Well, I think Stardew Valley is way more simple than SoS (in terms of game development.) Maybe that's why we have to pay for it. Now, it's true that Nintendo increases the price soooo much so that's another reason why it costs what it costs. I really hate that. But we have to wait and see. Let's hope it works!

Once Niel arrives we'll have two grumpy blonde boys in the same game. I get they were taking the most popular bachelors and bachelorettes from each game to bring to pioneers, but I wish they chose people that would add more diversity to our current cast. From a new beginning I think Soseki, Amir, Sanjay, or Allen would have been better choices, not that I'm a huge fan of those guys (especially Allen), but they would have added different personalities to the current cast of marriage candidates that we already have instead of giving two nearly identical in personality and in appearance guys

@@hakhawt8416 sameee 😂 it was so time consuming to gather ingredients and level up just to create a powerful weapon for each boss fight. I stopped playing like 2 to 3 months ago because I don't have enough time lol 😂

Tbh, I was stuck in Rune Prana for a while but then I suddenly got an OP weapon from one of the festivals I ranked 2nd place at. I never let go of this weapon since and finished the game with it.

Ford was my choice of bachelor. lol. I'm a little sad he wasn't included but he had the perfect story in ToT. I doubt they could have expanded or improved on it, honestly.

@@suicune2001 - I was a Ford gal too. My favorites are never the character to return, so that probably cursed him. Lol I'm happy to see Ludus back though. He was another character I loved in that game, and I was really torn between him and Woofio for my second file.

I only wish when we upgraded furniture on our farm or the pet playhouse, that the pets or characters would interact with them or talk about them or something, same with for example, the park being a bit bigger when upgraded, or having new options to hang out with people there or something!

@@phoenixastra4429 I think there is one way to get characters to talk about a pet! Each of the townspeople has a dew favourite animals/breeds and if you take them on a walk with you and talk to the right towns person they'll comment on your pet. It also gives you a very small positive sum of relationship points with them. All in all, it's very similar to how outfits work in the game.

Given Licorice was renamed to her more accurate name but otherwise unchanged (beyond artstyle) in Story of Seasons 1 from Tale of Two Towns, I think they wouldn’t need to redesign unless they wanted to. Guessing this being DLC is partly to make all these returning characters optional/less integrated into the story to deal with some of that retcon aspect. (That said, it is also a money thing, of course.)

@@zillo1600 I totally forgot Kamil existed in citing them, so: understandable! Marvelous still owns the designs of any given character (since Natsume was only localizing,) so there’s no trouble there - they did an updated port of Tale of Two Towns on 3DS in Japan, since it apparently was Natsume doing the North American 3DS port or something? Or they just wanted to do a new one, I suppose. The issue appears to be fully in naming - Natsume, of course, still owns the rights to the name ‘Harvest Moon’ (and I think there had to be some pushing for Harvest Goddess and Sprites, and who knows what’s going on with the Witch Princess bit.) There also seemed to be a question about using names Natsume had changed in localization - thus Reina becoming Licorice, Cam and Kamil, Ran/Ann and the like in FOMT. I think in the first SOS there was a discussion of the team being willing to try for the previous localized names if there was a serious fan push, but either that changed by FOMT or they decided it didn’t matter that much and were ready to just keep going onward. Given how Natsume keeps trying to push ‘we’re Harvest Moon, with all the characters you know and love’ in ad copy like for One World, if they had the rights for any of the Bokujou Monogatari designs I’m certain they’d be using them.
