Hello everybody! My name is Wilder, and welcome to my channel. This channel will mostly be about video games, top 10 lists, and updates and news about games coming out. I cover games such as Rune Factory, Story of Seasons, Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Shin Megami Tensei, and All things Nintendo. I'm ready to have fun on this journey so I hope you will too!
Started playing on PS5 and I had no idea the game had all those issues; I’m having a lot of fun too. I’m glad I waited! Btw just found your channel. Loving the content, really.
I hated PoOT so much...and im soo scared that this game will be the same 😩 I'm still waiting for a remake for Animal Parade....my most favorite game of all
also I LOVE that Hina is here!!!! my head canon is that Misasagi+Kumo are from Azuma and she's returned as a SEED Ranger to find out more about her homeland
It doesn't look quite like a traditional RF but that's fine because 6 is coming I feel like it is going to be more focused on combat and JRPG aspects than farming. I hope it's at least more in depth than harvestella
As someone new to rune factory is 4 better then 5? I'm hearing alot about 5 being not as good as 4? If I was to pick a game at a starting point what would be best?
If I remember correctly rf4 was originally intended to be the last game in the franchise so I think that’s probably why they went all out for it and went crazy with the main story, character dialogue, and references to previous games compared to the other games in the series. Rf5 felt underwhelming to me in comparison, especially bc there was so much hype behind the revival of the rune factory series.. I’m sad to say out of all of them that rf5 is the only game I put down during the main story bc it just wasn’t compelling. It’s a shame tbh, there was a lot of potential for it to be an astronomical success and it just felt like it had the foundation of a RF game but bc of its insanely smaller main story compared to its predecessor (RF4) it just feels like it was doomed to never fully measure up. I believe RF5 was the first game under the new company that bought the rights to the franchise so there’s that too, they probably didn’t keep anyone from the original 4 games (and two Wii games) teams for writing (Natsume is the OG company that created the games and made them up until RF4 on the 3ds, everything after that including the rf3&rf4 remakes as well as rf5 were all created by Marvelous, with rf5 being their first attempt at their own original take on a rf storyline). I’m just hoping Guardians of Azuma measures up to the quality of the other two spin off titles for the franchise because that one looks great just from the trailers (but so did rf5 so we’ll just have to wait to find out if future installments improve storylines&world building). Overall my main complaint with rf5 is that it feels like the hollow shell of what a rune factory game is supposed to be, in comparison to even a much older game like rf2 the fifth game just feels skeletal in terms of my ability to personally connect to the characters and the environment
Once I got to their maker, it really left a bad impression to me. I even bought the game on game 1. Havent touched the game since then. Such a waste of money. Trio of towns is still their best game. I wished they'd just port it to switch.
I personally loved amiibo Festival, as it was a more relaxing Mario Party title, which could get hilarious depending on who you're playing it with. Happy Home Designer/Paradise are also great spin-offs, and I loved City Folk and New Leaf a bunch... I miss certain items that got lost with New Horizons. I would love a new AC game, if it brings back the old items from NL (including the mini games on the Island) and kept certain aspects of NH (like customization of the land).
The art design really makes me think of Shepherd's Crossing and Suikoden II. XD Looks neat~! But, while the cursor is cute, it makes me less incline to want to play it, as it's telling me it'll be mainly a PC release... and I prefer to play on a console, specifically Switch.
Haven't heard of this project before your video. It does look interesting, however I'm very cautious of: 1) Kickstarter 2) Early Access (in general). Steam is filled with so-called "Early-Access" titles that, more often than not, are either never finished or at some point rushed out to an unfinished "1.0" (looking at you, Coral Island. Or Immortal Life, etc. etc.). If a game isn't actually finished and working as intended and advertised (at least for the most part), I'm simply not interested and I'm certainly not dropping any money beforehand. I guess I'm getting old.
Glad you noticed the PS1 theme we worked on! This game was inspired by a lot of PS1 and PS2 games to begin with We are experimenting with UI hiding so it doesn't clutter up the .screen most of the time.
The characters look so nice, i would love to see that game growing! My hands are all upp for pixelart farming games, as long as the storytelling is good^^ And having another game similar to RF would be amazing!
Wilder I wish you would post more often. You are one of the only people I trust with these type of games. The energy you bring is unique. If you were more consistent you will go as big or bigger than other channels out there doing it. I will definitely check out more about this game
Love the rune factory inspired style. I think the dialogue UX + character portraits could look more polished and lacks the same charm as the rest of the game, but the overworld is just so darn cute.
Woah Wilder I think this is the first time I've heard of this game! I definitely love the Paper Mario art style for sure and monster taming? Yes please! Oh speaking of monster taming there's a game being funded on Kickstarter right now called Cat Cafe Manager 2 where it's Paper Mario-ish with the art style, you run a cafe with cats and you collect cats! It's so cute and I think Oreo will approve of it! Have a nice rest of the week! ⭐
That is nice and all, but I'm worried they are biting too much. They really need to focus on the fundamentals. It has been quite some time since we have a SoS game with strong fundamentals outside of remakes. And even with those, they are bent on removing good features, for some reason ( I really don't undertand ). I'm very confused with the series direction, and I think the development team is as well. So, they are just trying a bunch of different things to see what works.
I’m excited for it to see what it can be. I just wished olive town had more to it. I loved it but I just felt some parts were lacking but with the updates they did do to it it gave me hope the developers were listening to what we wanted from them and were willing to implement some improvements to the game. Here’s hoping this one is gonna be better! ❤ Still crossing fingers and praying that we get an animal parade remake though 😫
I just feel such a disconnect between the environment and the animals that were shown so far. The level of detail is… off. Even though the horse is cute, it just feels out of place to me.
I need to feel more from the town, like the spirit or characters and festival, like in Trio of Towns, I love ToT man...I don't remember if they've shown off the candidates but I would l o v e if they bring back portraits? Or make them more expressable I guess... I'm gonna guess that they might start with Open World but a bit more restrictive, I would be shocked if they went ahead and leap out there, probably just testing water? I would, however, glide off my house if they allow me to!!
The graphics in the game is truly beautiful especially with the nature and the animals. Looking forward to trying out the leaf glider and exploring the areas with it. The fireworks could be part of a festival event😊
@WilderOfficial Honestly, Mistria is up with rune factory 4 for me, it tops Stardew. The character writing is amazing, the gameplay loop is super duper fun
