I went to the Atlanta and Dallas based F2F, but my shyness in socializing did me in and no CJO’s. Well, I learned my lesson and went for a Regional airline and I was a fluttering social butterfly at the F2F and I received a CJO. Training starts January 2020. 👏🏼✈️👏🏼 Nursing was not my first career choosing...I always wanted to become a FA, but family factor’s held me back. At 48 year’s old, this Mommacita went for the FA career goal and I can still work my Nursing part-time when I am not flying that way I will not be a broke FA. I am working lots of shifts intil FA training starts, so I don’t have to worry about cushion money while, I am in training. Kat’s and Steven Perreira’s video’s have helped me a lot with the FA process.

Heheheh I was applying for mainlines while I was still in training with my regional as well! Best career decision I ever made. I had those same thoughts of "getting my foot in the door." I too was so excited when I got my CJO from our mainline!! Loved hearing your story of how you became a flight attendant :)

It makes me feel so much better that you have tattoos because I have one in my wrist (which I could cover) but my friend couldn’t get hired with Allegiant because of a tattoo on her ankle. Makes me feel like I still have a chance!

New Orleans has always held my heart. (My dad was born there so it was my second home, really.) When I was young, I moved there the first time and fell into the party habit that it’s known for. I ended up moving to CT and OR for a few years, but New Orleans always called me. I’m happy to report that it is completely different living in New Orleans when you are established and responsible. Growing up really does turn the city into a completely different world. I always saw it as party central, but now I see it for so many things. Lovely ppl, beautiful architecture, amazing food, the culture, etc etc etc. Dont let it scare you into running from the city forever! It really is a completely different (and beautiful) city when we get the party and irresponsibility out of our system.

I just finished my training and start flying next week. I was an expectation to the rule though. At the interview, I was told there were 1100 applicants and they reduced it to 20 face interviews. I got hired the first time. I had only had two previous jobs both in restaurants with only 1.5 years of experience combined. Thankfully I knew a pilot who just had a new start on his sectors so he was asking him everything and feeding back with tips.

I am a pilot in training going to university and the faith to keep going and pull the good out of every situation or set back definitely holds true for pilots as well, the industry is a tough one indeed but God has blessed me despite it!

Good for you for making this video and talking about your failures----i think it is INVALUABLE!!!!! I LOVE the way you own it and share it and TEACH that it is to be expected, that it is good and that it inevitably gets you from one place to the next.....and to hear it from someone young who has lived it and benefited from failing, and persevering, and then succeeding, is the best possible vehicle for the information. That is so cool about The Veterinary and Wildlife! I've been a volunteer at a Sanctuary for exotics for over five years now, helped to raise a pair of tiger cubs, take care of multiple tigers, lions, leopards, servals, even a Florida black bear! And I'm studying to be a Vet Tech! :-)

I don’t know if you read my comment on an earlier video where I encouraged you to get back to DFW, to where the *Powers That Be* abide, or not, but again, I wanted to encourage you in whatever direction you’re interested in as far as your career with AA is concerned, because you are definitely leadership material. I’m an INTJ! I love all of the psychology stuff too! I’ve been to travel school, been a travel agent at one time and feel like I seriously screwed up! In retrospect I wish I would have tried being a flight attendant! I love the industry anyway.

ISTJ :) I totally bombed O-chem TWICE and didn't think I would EVER get into vet school either!! Same gig- pick a nonscience major..... so I picked two: Biology and Greco-Roman Studies! Took two years to travel, and now I'm in med school (but spend the majority of my time taking care of stray dogs- pretty much the same right!??!?!)

Hey Kat! I just found your channel maybe a couple days ago. You have some super interesting videos in here! I have two questions for you: 1. On long flights, say 6h+, is it weird if a passenger brings a box of chocolate for the flight attendants/crew as a treat? Would you appreciate it? Do people do that? 2. Is there a mechanism you can/do use to make sure people are sitting in the correct seat? If someone has an economy ticket and sits in an emergency seat that looks empty, can you tell? Is it annoying? Also, if the flight is not full and there are one or two seats available next to a passenger, is it ok if they use them to lie down?

Im an INTJ with an entry level engineering job .. I also wanted to be a veterinarian, but realized after working at a vet hospital this was not it... went to school for environmental science and loved it but have always considered flight attending, Injust feel like the constant change and not having to take work home is worth the sacrifice

I applied to your airline back in August and they say your can reapply in six months, which would be January. If it's still open, can I just apply now, again, or feel I truly need to wait the full six months? Love your videos.

ISTJ-A Hear, and it was never even used with the company I was working for at the time. They made us all take the test so we could work together and understand each other. They spent so much money on us and we never used it. So sad.

In an INFJ. One of the 2% that are INFJ. No wonder I’ve always felt I didn’t fit in. I find psychology so fascinating too. I read self help books, but mostly because I want to analyze the psychology of why or why not it wouldn’t work. (And I majored in business....go figure!)

What tips do you have for passing the “strongly agree/disagree” questions. I can never seem to pass those. I had a interview where the store manager and area manager loved me and told me I’d be a perfect fit for their store but failed to pass the questions so didn’t get the job. So what are the secrets to these types of test!
