Interview: Great insight from the man who won an 18 day Time Trial, the equivalent to almost TWICE the distance of the Tour De France completely unsupported and on his own.

This VLOG was so good, I recently watched the documentary on Netflix of the Transam when Mike Hall won it in 2014, and I would think to myself these guys are crazy. Hopefully they do one of the 2015 race. Huge respect for people that can do these massive rides.

Love his advice, "you just want to get it done". Taking a huge obstacle like this and looking at it in such a small way, probably the only way you could keep pushing hard for so long. Great video maven!!

I have come back to this as your interviews with Jessie have inspired me to push myself further than I thought. Just completed my first long ride around the UAE in 3 days. So thank you. Good luck with the Indian Pacifice Race. Looking forward to the watching the story

Hey Mark. Long time you cracking human! I hope you and the family are well. I wanted to drop a line about this interview. I watched it when it first came out and was so impressed by Jesse. I just watched it again as I am preparing to ride the same route across the US in 6 to 8 weeks form now. Work here for me in NY will be shut down for sometime after the rest of the world's restrictions ease off. So it is my plan to make something big happen this summer. My plan is to ride all day everyday but to stop and sleep and to not run at night. Best to Hannah and Jack.

Love the video's mate. Hat's off for anyone riding that distance. Imagine a Perth to Sydney race (or vice-versa)! Have you checked out the Simpson Desert Challenge that is held each year for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Bill Somerville has a few great clips of the race on his channel. Hats off to Jesse, another bike warrior just going about his business.

A great documentary was release last year about the 2014 race. It's called Inspired to ride. Well worth watching so you can really see what this guy had to overcome. He mentions the Tour Dive and it has a fantastic documentary by the same people called Ride the Divide.

I've just rediscovered cycling & trying to get #FatToFitByFifty & generally improve my overall well-being with spinal disabilities. I could only afford to buy a steel State Core-Line 46/16 fixed gear/single speed. As part of my journey I discovered your channel & others which then led to finding out about ultra-endurance cycling. Wow! What amazing human beings. I'm a looooong way off being fit but damn! people like Jesse, Sarah, Rhino, Kristof, Mike, yourself et al are motivaing me to #BeMoreMike. Keep being awesome Mark.

This documentary; "Inspired to Ride" is available, at least in the U.S. on Neflix. It's all about the first 2014 TRans AM race. It features Mike Hall, which is the guy that Jesse is talking about. Cheers ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PYbWn5IMoYc.html
