Kevin Nash should be one of the last people in pro Wrestling beeing jealous that someone else makes money in an easier way. Don't tell me that he didn't use his connections on how he gets booked, which also reflects in the money he made. And as James said if he had the chance to make money without even showing up at work, he took it! Playing the tough guy on how fast you can go back to work with an injury has nothing to do with this.
Throughout most of the US at hockey games we stand during and often sing a long to Oh Canada. Beautiful song. Love Canadians. There is a great video out there of a performer’s microphone failing during the Star Spangled Banner in Canada and those wonderful people sang it loud for us anyway.
James and Dutch if you guys haven’t seen the Mercedes Mone/Sasha Banks meet and greet pictures you really need to look them up. She was charging fans like $100 to take a picture with her and she would make them stand 10 feet away from her. It looked hilarious and ridiculous at the same time
I knew Jeff wasn't gonna win the Tournament because the winner gets the AEW title shot at Wembley. But for them do the heartfelt promo stuff just for him to lose flat in the first round to another babyface was weird booking.
She's a very good wrestler, excellent look, dross promos, popular but not overwhelmingly nor to the level people thought based on her aew numbers though the booking has killee her....there was always someone with a better look, better worker and more popular so she never truly stood out
The only complaints I can come up with about Sting's retirement, was that stupid glass spot. The next day, it's what everyone was talking about and it stole a lot of the shine off Sting. I won't even go into the broadcast cutting off mid-sentence,...
Bryan defending until he loses the title is a great play, roh did similar with cm punk and he had some fantastic matches where it seemed like guys were going to take the title, good crowds would bring that to life
Nash is a rambling mess as always so I don't blame Dutch for misinterpreting, but I don't think Nash was speaking out of jealousy or bitterness. He was: 1) making fun of Punk for taking so long to heal; 2) insinuating Punk's milking/faking that he's still injured; 3) taking credit for guaranteed contracts existing in wrestling (as he loves to do); and 4) implying that Punk should be thanking him since he now has a guaranteed contract too. tldr: he really doesn't like CM Punk lol

the bloodline segment to end smackdown was excellent i loved it the problem is jeff jarett his opponent was adam hangman page and who is just returing mjf is a born heel hell yes i loved that mjf turned heel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hell yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i liked that sasha interpreted britt and i liked them setting up mercedes when britt baker was in the ring
Great episode. The one thing is.. My guess is that I don't think Tony Khan is turning down a lot of great ideas. I think it's a lot more that he's letting a ton of the roster do exactly what they want. And it just makes sense - their incentive isn't to draw money for AEW. They just want to make cool moments, put on good matches, and get attention for themselves. Even if they DID draw money/viewers, they probably wouldn't get rewarded for it. Their business isn't trying to be profitable. And Tony is happy with how it is. As long as that's the case, it isn't changing.
Great episode! Alot of tony khan's decisions baffle alot of people, needs an actual booker. The good ol .22 rating every week and tony thinks his rating is so much higher. He needs scott d'amore badly, seems like tony relies wayyy to much on the surprise debut factor
I wasn't aware of Jeff Jarrett losing in that fashion. Obviously this is why I don't watch AEW. Not just because of their lack of star power but their abysmal nonsense booking. I like Jeff and obviously miss Owen and that really sucks. Someone else needs to be head book over there asap. Great podcast though guys thanks.
My late brother was a huge fan of Sasha Banks/Mercedes Mone when she was in WWE. He would be so distressed to see how far she's fallen due to her arrogance.
I keep trying the Stevie podcast because I like James and his interviews. But even the shorts are 20-30 mins because Stevie doesn’t know how to tell a story that doesn’t take 20 mins. It’s hard to watch.

Raw is still going to be mostly pg on Netflix due to sponsors. However; now of they nerd to pull off a more mature spot they can just do it whenever, plus now they don't have to worry about network censors ruining impactful moments by killing the sound and audio. So I think it's a win. Heck they could even pull a if you want Netflix uncensored watch it live and have the replays be edited or have an option to watch either
I was saying the same thing about Mercedes/Sasha from her NXT days. She is too entitled, she gets the WWE deal and how did she manage to get that part in the Mandalorian?? Out of the thousands of actors who have paid their dues and studied their craft this little wrestler comes along and gets the gig. Oh I know how she got it....diversity ofcourse. Its a joke and people have a right to dislike her because its grounded in entitlement. I dont like the knock on her husband though, thats just ignorant from Dutch and James.
Nash was one of my favorites as a kid . Hall was my favorite though , dude could talk and wrestler . But point being Nash has become one of my least favorite people over the last couple years . Self coincided fart sniffer is what kevin nash is . Plus is podcast is soooo boring . Kinda funny though he is always complaining about punk when punk and drew have the only feud worth paying attention too atm .
That they give a crap if people watch or not, is only 1/2 true, they care till they have to renew the deal and if the Network, or the Streaming Service (in this case Netflix) is not happy with the numbers and WWE has not found a better partner, I tell you they will care A LOT! With the possibility to do whatever they like, to be REALLY able to do crazy sh*t like in the Attitude Era, or at leats close to it. Is a Win-Win-Win. For Netflix, the fans, and WWE. I really don't see where the downsides are.
I can just hope that Mercedes made a bad joke regarding her husband and the outfit he made for her. Imagine what a shot storm there woule be on "social"media if it was a male wrestlers tlaking like that about his wife! And if you imagine how many guys would like to Date Mercedes. I think they know think twice. At least they should!
That Mercedes segment just highlights how racist the wrestling industry really is. She deserves everything she's getting. She sure as hell deserves it more the the freaking Young Bucks or flabby, bloated Jericho.
I met Sasha Banks when she was still on the indies. I barely spoke with her but she seemed nice & she was dating her current husband at the time. I know Dutch said what did she see in him. I think the question should be what did he see in her? If she was a good person before she’s totally changed.

Y'all keep talking about how the women wrestlers outfits are too skimpy or revealing but show me one female wrestler who is wearing less clothing than say Lex Luger did, or Ahmed Johnson with his permanent wedgie lol Why is it perfectly fine for any of the men to show up wearing nothing but basically their underwear and the women are vilified for wearing something no more revealing than a standard swimsuit? Why the constant double standard? What would you like high level athletes to wear to compete in a wrestling match? Sack cloth and a head scarf? 😂😂😂
