Best procreate tutorial I’ve seen! So concise and to the point. And the storyboard tutorial with it! You must have done this for a living at some stage? Very talented. Thanks for sharing.
Definitely gonna check that out, especially since this video is now outdated. I've been using Storyboarder and Photoshop. However, my understanding is that most college students, and to artists aspiring to get into the industry, are using Procreate and an iPad. Definitely a great value and a strong platform!
@@TonyLockhart Can I also work on the cheapest 2020 regular i-pad..? I'm a newcomer to apple.. and can't afford an ipad-pro yet.. I have Storyboard Pro on my PC and was thinking about using Duet Display app to connect my PC wit the cheapest ipad I can get , and also work with procreate using animation tool.. Thanks
@@janmartenlocher Hi Jan, I'm pretty sure you can! The Pro is great, however I'd be happy with an iPad Mini just so long as it works with the Apple Pencil.
@@TonyLockhart Thanks, Using the ipad Pro right now, and I'm LOVING it :-)! Using Photoshop cs6 on Pc , but unfortunately duet display app or the astropad-for-windows-alterantive ( Project Blue/ Luna Display) does'nt work with my PC too well, so I STICK to PROCREATE right now, but thanks!!
Where would I find the pencil, pen and marker shortcuts through the four finger tap quick menu? I found the open color panel, layer opacity, and merge down
This is really helpful but when I open the four finger tap it doesn’t come up with pencil, marker and all that it comes up with new layer and flip, etc is there anyway to change it into the one I want?
Check out this video on editing quick menus...it'll help you customize it with whatever tools you like. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sjsKH0Ig0wE.html
I'd recommend making your own. For instance, I'd drag a rectangular selection on a new layer and fill it with gray paint, then I'd cut out boxes on the left and right side. I'd end by merging those layers and duplicating. You can send me an email and I'll be happy to make one for you. Cheers!
Yep, I still feel this video is relevant for rough boarding sequences. The big idea is still the same--adopt a pipeline and workflow that will help you draw without hinderance to the thought or creative process.
Hi there, thanks for the question. I didn't find the panel online. Instead, it was a part of the download materials on the Schoolism course. You're welcome to email me and I'll send you a PSD file that can be opened in ProCreate. The other option is to create a new file in the aspect ration you like (maybe HD layout) and then fill selections with gray tone. Once you flatten the layer, you should be good to go. Definitely comment back if this doesn't make sense.
@@TonyLockhart What’s a good email to reach you for the download of this template? I’d love to have it and can’t find a good one anywhere online. Thanks!
Sorry, now download however it's really easy to make your own. Choose your aspect ration when creating a new canvas, created rectangles at the top, and then flatten your layers.
@@TonyLockhart This is the same question I had also. In the beginning you say "I save my image and bring it back in." Once I created the template using the aspect ratio in Procreate, this is where I got lost. Do i export the template and bring it back in?
Great question, Mike! I think anyone can learn provided that allocate the time needed master a skill. Everyone starts somewhere, whether is be something simple as panel setup versus developing shorthand to quickly illustrate high/low contrast with diffused light settings. Thanks for the comment/question!
By the time you have opened all your lil' windows, files and got comfortable with the tools by converting your brain into an app, the deadline is overdue.
