You paid $225 for a frontal sewin??? This girl think she arrogant Tae?? My stylist does a bomb job and melts my lace for only $100 and it takes about an hour for my wig to get put on and styled. She don’t need to do hair if she not passionate about it

It’s trash that hair stylist can charge women for being late, but NOTHING happens when the stylist herself is late.

That whole not answering thing would’ve been it for me. I don’t think I would’ve even left the house. I don’t like that! If I’m getting a service done by you, I expect to hear from you a couple hours before my appointment and before I leave my house to get to you. I literally did not get my hair done from this girl because she wasn’t answering. Smh she never gave me my deposit back either lol

Her communication was all the way off and that’s very unprofessional🙄 If you do a style that’s supposed to last over 2 days & it doesn’t, you job as a PROFESSIONAL STYLIST, is to do it over,WITHOUT A FEE🗣 & she made you wait for so long just to do all of this🥴

I contacted a nail tech because I wanted to see her because I loved her work. I DM'ed her, commented on posts and left emails.... She never responded and she was extremely active online.... I guess she didn't want my money 😐 I unfollowed her and moved on Not answering is a HUGE RED FLAG

She should’ve still did it for free regardless of how many days it’s been....it was her fault it was days later

Girl my last hairstylist sews SO SLOW. I got there at 10 am but didn’t leave until maybe 4 or 5. She was heavy handed af and she was literally was pulling the hair from the weft, handling my hair aggressively then she say “yeah this hair not going last long” Well duh not handling like that... I want to support black business but they make it hard with their unprofessionalism

She needs to get with the times! Nobody cuts tracks anymore😂 & Yesss I agree, I use my wigs & bundles until I feel like buying new hair😂

That was very inconsiderate of her to move your appointment back and not tell you or even make sure that was okay with you, I hate stylists like that. Like your client has a life just like you. You want your clients to be on time and you hold them accountable if they are late some stylists need to learn they need to have that same accountability for themselves.

At this point we need a support group! These “stylists” are extremely: - Unprofessional (forget the attitude, they don’t even greet you or show some type of enthusiasm to meet you df?) - Lazy (why the hell should I have to get my hair washed and braided before coming in?) - Greedy!!! Charging unreasonable prices for lackluster service (hello? That’s apart of the experience -not just having our hair done!!!!!) - Lack communication skills..... Half the time it feels like I’m begging and chasing them to do a service I am PAYING them for.

I'm late here but... The other day my stylist found out I wasn't happy with my hair. She DRAGGED my ass in, told me to always tell her straight up at time of process if I'm unhappy, and made me "SCOUTS HONOR SWEAR" that I was happy with it. What this person did is like, theft lol

Mannnn, I just got my lashes done and got a reaction from the techs glue bc she applied some on my skin and the glue also got into my eyes during the process. My appointment was at 5:30pm - 8:00pm I woke up to watery itchy eyes but I had an event (gender reveal) and the next morning I decided to let the tech know I was having a reaction. She tells me that’s not on her end and she tried to charge me to remove them. I’m like I literally just paid for your time and service and not even a full day and half pass I’m having a reaction to your glue. My eyes were stuck together at the end of the process and she used scissors to cut them apart 🙄 I made a status on fb bc she doesn’t have a business page for a review and I made a review. Her people get on my post talking crazy saying I’m slandering a black business. First off I told no lie so I didn’t slander anything. But all black business aren’t good business. As black people we got to stop making it seem like we can’t have an opinion about someone else of color. My eyes were closed shut that’s dangerous to the eye. If the business is bad why would I support it?? I didn’t say anything after my eyes were stuck bc you don’t like to be mean and I was trying to support her but after you can’t make up for your mistake that’s dead.

I hate those hair stylist that don’t ever reply to your messages but respond when they wanna change your appointment time.😭 happened to me a few months ago and made me never want to book with a Detroit hairstylist again.

We try to support people, but a lot of people's work ethic sucks. They have mastered the art of making a hairstyle last past the time you can come back for a hair fix. I would've been heated enough to take her to court.

$90 for something she should’ve done correctly in the first place.

My fave stylist takes about two hours and she does the flip over method unless she has to. Also...she sews down the frontal/closure THROUGHOUT and ONLY lays the edges of the lace. I'm from Detroit. If she would've left all that lace on myself or anyone else I know...she would've been popped and robbed!🤷🏾‍♀️

My stylist takes 3 hours to do a sew in. But I’m sorry HOW MUCH was your install? Over $200??????? Did she wash and treat your hair as well? Ain’t no way in hot hell😭 I also don’t want my wefts cut I always request for them to be doubled. And I’ve never had “lumps”.

Its takes like 2.5hr with my stylist because she washes and deep conditions my hair before doing my sew-in. But she NEVER cuts my wefts. Like who does that

Seems like she doesn’t want to do hair anymore or fell out of “passion” with doing it because of how she handles situations when an error occurs. Like this was completely her fault and how unprofessional she was to start with by not answering phones & pushing appointments back and stuff. Like for one you inconvenience me a total of 4-5 times you should’ve been jumping for joy to fix my stuff for free!!

That sucks that happened to you but like you said you live and your learn. I’m a hairstylist and I never cut the bundles. I do the flip over method and my sew ins are always flat. Some beautician don’t know how to do the flip over method the correct way so they cut the tracks.

I'm so sorry that happened to you. To have to depend on someone for their services when you're paying and they're taking advantage of you. She was extremely unprofessional. This is why I don't trust stylists.

200+ plus dollars for a bad hairstyle, ugh I feel for you. I hate spending money but I don’t have a problem paying someone for a service but at the same time, it should be worth the 200 dollars.

I got a lacefront installed.. which took about a hour. She braided my hair, cut the front of the lace, did baby hairs. A little hairspray and I was done. It came out nice too. Wasn't a long install at all.

A frontal install takes about 3-4 hours. You do have a low hair line so she really should of waited to customize your frontal the day of your appt to make it fit you. Cut tracks are normal for a frontal sewin. It’s best to get wigs or closure sew in if you wanted to not cut the tracks. Also frontals could not last you more than 5 days.

The common theme I'm noticing with all these horror stories, myself included, is desperation. If you're desperate, DON'T LET NOBODY TOUCH YOUR HAIR! It goes wrong every! single! time!

I’m a stylist and i never cut the wefts lbs that’s probably why it took her so long because she had to keep stopping to cut it. But this was definitely a horror story. You can tell that she was strictly in it for the money. Cause i would never treat my clients like this. I’m so sorry you lost your money like that smh

This is the issue with deposits to me. As a stylist you should have a clause that if the client canceled due to your negligence you will get it back.

A tip in case you cut your bundles, I’ve cut mine before and sewn them back together with weave thread. Will be painstaking if it’s multiple bundles but you’ll be able to have them all in one piece ❤️

I had a sew in that took 4 hours but that was only because her BF kept trying to fight her - Scary. I haven't done a sew in in forever but I make wigs and I don't cut the wefts. Honestly there are very few people that still cut the wefts. What is happening ???????

Ma’am that was a $40 service not $225😭. (Ik I’m late).1.she had bad time management, 2.the concealer on the part in the 1st picture is not your color and doesn’t match the lace. The lace is showing way too much and you can tell and it’s like the type of quality where it looks good from a DISTANCE but if you look at it too long you’ll notice the bad quality. And 3.the red flags were too much 😔🤌🏽
