Unfortunately my husband who was my boyfriend at the time lost his mother in 2013 and father in 2014 so I've never experienced the pain you've gone through ninja, however his sister did try to bully me into doing wifely duties while I was still a girlfriend, also after he paid lobola she tried to bully me and was extremely jealous of the fact that her brother paid lobola for me BUT I thank God that I have a strong husband who stood up for me and stopped that ish before it began, he made it clear that if she came after me she would lose him and he wouldn't have anything to do with her.

My mother was going through divorce. Everything you are talking about is what she went through What i noticed was Let a man be a man, do not allow yourself as a women to play a role of a man. A man should and must be able to provide for his family without the help of his women. Of course i am not trying to say that a women should not work or contribute to her own house buuuut it should not be the first option. Men who are provided for by women will take your money to another woman who is less then him to act like he is a provider to her. Here are red flags i pictured up from my mother and this video. 1) earns less than you and is living a life style that he can not afford 2) tells you stories about how everyone around him is soo bad to him but never sees his own flaws. 3) lies about very stupid shit 4)hides money 5) has an on and off relationship with his family 6)allows his mother to disrespect you 7) DOES NOT COMMUNICATION Let me be clear just because he does not have money now does not mean he wont in the future. A man with a plan and ambitious is powerful man compared to a man with millions with no plan or ambitious. DO NOT GET MARRIED TO A MAN WHO IS NOT FINANCIALLY OR EMOTIONALLY READY.

This is so triggering because this is what my mom in law can do. In fact she ruined my brother's wedding for me. She wanted me to buy a wedding gift and give it to her so that she can present it as hers. When I told her I don't have money since I already contributed some for the wedding, she got angry and stirred a drama that caused their whole family not to come to my brother's wedding. If my husband does something special for me or the kids, she gets real very angry. It's exhausting. Also ladies, if your in laws I'll-treat you even in the presence of your husband, start paying attention to the kind of conversation your husband has with his family about you. That is where the disrespect comes from. These men are not as innocent as they claim. If the family respect their son/brother, chances are that they will respect his spouse too. Even if they don't like her. Boundaries are important, the husband must know that you love him but you are not going to that at the expense of your emotional well-being. He will decide gore he steps up or he remains with his family while you move on. I'm sorry Owamie that you had to go through that. It pains that you had to emphasis the fact that they were ill treating you in the car that was paid by you. Healthy human beings should have treated you kindly even if you were not paying for the car. You deserved their support even if you didn't have money to pay for their trip. That's what a normal husband should do. It is his responsibility to take care and support you.

I think your mother in law came to the funeral just to check and dig she wasn't actually there to support you. And I believe that all the power she got to do and say all those things was from her son

Sis you should thank God this marriage it didn't work. If you have continued with this marriage you were going to be poor,the spirit of delay was going to catch up with you. Imagine a bunch of broke people together this family is toxic,it reminded me of my in-laws my mother in-law and my sister in law are toxic l am dating this man but our relationship is controlled by my in-laws ☹️ I ended up asking this guy imagine if you were rich your family was going to make me suffer. It is only through retelling your the past events do you get the picture of how bad the situation was and that in itself is healing because you are finally seeing the situation for what it it was. I am currently going through therapy after my divorce and the more i listen to myself reiterate the events in my marriage to my therapist the more it gets to me how much nonsense i took from him and those light-bulb moments fuel me with so much strength and makes me feel empowered for having made the decision to leave his sorry ass.
