He basically wanted to flaunt with his business opportunity while not wanting to spend a dime out of his own pocket. Obviously he can't spend two people's worth of expenses on his company card so he wanted you to either pay for it or share food which is super sad lol. Also Jenny, if you have no intention of paying for the meal NEVER touch the check let alone open it!
