My bad! A nice Turkish viewer informed me that Ice Yarns are NOT a manufacturer but rather a distributor and they collect yarns from the other factories (who make the big name brand yarns) around Turkey to sell relabeled online. Ain't supply chains a hoot?
I’m an American abroad too - THANK YOU FOR THIS! How exciting and slightly dangerous. I have had trouble getting the yarns I love, especially since Brexit. I’ll give this a try. シ
Please try DIAKEITO - they have the highest quality merino yarn and Noro Yarn (eco-friendly) from Japan. 💚💚 The Fine cotton yarns from the Philippines are only $1 or less.💚 Can you also knit a skirt, because I've been looking for a knitted skirt but it's all for intermediate...and crocheted.
Just a quick question. You live abroad, so is the shipping as high on Ice website to where you are, or is it cheaper. some expensive shipping is correct ‘
Yes, it's about the same for me too. It usually kinda doubles the price so I try not to look at the price until I add it all up in my cart. We're so used to "free shipping" in the US but the truth is most stores just roll that shipping cost into the price you pay. It's all such a mind game 🤣
They either factor the 'free' shipping in with their prices or they make their profit from the shipping costs because the logistics companies and postal offices offer them shipping plans (as opposed to paying shipment per order sent to customers like we would pay separately for each letter, card or package we send). Online shopping may seem less expensive but it's only rewarding (not to mention satisfying) if you can pay 50% and upwards less because retail prices are so inflated. (By hundreds of % from cost.)
Do you know lots of popular European and American brands are actually produced in Turkey? And I'm afraid you are not correct, Ice Yarns IS a manufacturer company. I am not affiliated with Ice Yarns in any way, just buying and loving their yarns. Greetings from Istanbul, Turkey.
I really thought they were a yarn manufacturer based on their selection. I even contacted them directly but they didn't explicitly say that they manufacture.🤔 I have noticed most of the yarns that I love are made in Turkey 🙂 it would be so cool if a lot of those were coming from Ice yarns.
