Straight No Chaser - Sitcom Medley 

Yes, we're all still great friends, and although we live all over the country, we all get together several times a year.

This video was shot in 1998, when the guys were students at Indiana University. The group went pro in 2008, signing with Atlantic Records, releasing an album called "Holiday Spirits."

10 years later and I still love watching this. That transition from Beverly Hillbillies to Growing Pains still gets to me.

I have lost count of how many times I've watched this video--because I really enjoy it--but the Growing Pains and Perfect Strangers themes always transport me back to summers watching TV in the 1990s. Hearing those songs makes me miss that time SO much.

Absolutely fantastic group of guys. Extremely talented - great chemistry. This is a one of a kind thing that won't soon be repeated (and the word from IU is that subsequent teams have never measured up to the standard of this group).

The Yale Spizzwinks have done a TV medley for about 20 years, but we had to stop doing it because the songs were all shows from the 70's and no one knew the songs anymore!

The whistling tune is from the Andy Griffith Show and the other (standing tall on the wings of my dream) is from a show called Perfect Strangers. I think that covers them all.

The fact that Perfect Strangers was included just made my day. I loved that show as a kid.

I grew up on Perfect Strangers. My dad really liked it, I think he identified with Balki because he was a foreigner too. But, my mom liked it just as much, and she's American.

Even Full House, most have been a young crowd.. forget the classics of sitcoms. A little sad, but is what it is.

These guys are overall the best a cappella around for original arrangements, talent, and pure fun. This is old, but I still love it, especially the basses, Randy and Charlie in the Beverly Hillbillies; and then there is Spiderman, which I love to sing along with. lol
