Hey everyone! While I don't have the E63S anymore, I appreciate everyone's feedback on the music drowning out the exhaust in the second portion of the video. I finally had some time to pull up the original file and take the music out, so I will be re-uploading this video without the music on the second part! Stay tuned!
Wanted to make this particular video a bit more "cinematic" I guess? Tested out some different little ideas. However, I have another short video of a cold start (no music) in the process of uploading. Should be live soon for the "untainted" sound haha.
@@heavyprogressive76 Hey Heavprogressive! Thank you! Always happy to get feedback on the content, so I’ll be keeping this in mind for future videos! Thank you for the support!
@@jabbtt225 Video production isn’t my background, so that’s why I like to get feedback from my viewers :) helps me make a better video next time. Definitely got some lessons learned from this one :)
Great video! Makes me miss my w212r E63 too. I had turboback pipes to resonator to muffler delete. I love the AMG sound but to be honest on the M157 the best sound is the muffler deletes. Wanna do the same to my CLS63S now. Thanks for posting!
Thanks man! I checked out your E63 videos, that thing sounds like a beast! I didn’t notice too much of a difference between the muffler delete and the muffler + resonator delete other than a volume increase, but I want to figure out how to get that monstrous Brabus note 😂 If you end up putting some exhaust on your CLS63, definitely post a video! I was torn between that and this car when I was shopping around haha
@@Abstrakt_Automotive hey thanks for that man I appreciate it. I definitely will. Also, if you're interested in some engine mounts for the 4matic M157/M278 cars I produce polyurethane engine mounts that are stiffer and last longer than OEM. Let me know and I look forward to seeing your next video.
So happy I found this. Makes me miss mine. It’s miserable and cold here atm and I have mine in storage. I’ve got larger turbos, upgraded fuel system and a killer chiller and a few more goodies. Do you have plans to build this car?
Hell yeah man! Yeah, that's definitely a downside of living in the cold. I'd like to get a tune and maybe some downpipes, but nothing too crazy. If I can get it to the high 700's or low 800's without having to drop too much, I'll be pretty happy.
She sounds amazing bro! If I did the same to my 2011 E550 do you think it will sound exactly the same as your E63 in this video? And just to confirm, all you did was straight pipe, both mufflers deleted and resonator deleted, correct? Thx!
Thank you! It would sound really similar, but if I’m not mistaken, the E550’s have the M156, so you wouldn’t get that little bit of turbo whistle. A buddy of mine had an E550 a few years back and they sound great with a mostly straight-piped setup! And yeah, I just replaced the mufflers and resonators with pipes, but left the cats in place.
@@omara1cala212 Hey Omar! I just did straight pipes here. I considered doing an x-pipe, but from what I had heard in other videos, it didn’t give the sound I was looking for.
@@Abstrakt_Automotive awesome, thanks for the reply, got a 2012 I'm going to be doing the same but can't decide to x pipe or straight. By the sounds in this video looks like I'm going straight.
Has your car been rear ended before? I’ve finally found a w212 e63 that I like but the inner and outer tail lights are slightly misaligned like yours. It’s out of state so I’m even more hesitant even though carfax says no accidents.
Hi, ive just done a decat and res delete on mine (stock mufflers in place). It's louder but not that loud. Have you deleted everything - mufflers as well?
Hey! I only took out the mufflers and res, still have the cats in. I feel like between the mufflers and res, it got a pretty good volume increase. The mufflers might make a pretty good difference if you decide you want to take them out.
@@Abstrakt_Automotive Thanks for the reply. I'm going to probably do the lot then. I'm just concerned mines gonna be insanely loud with cats done as well LOL
Eh, I wouldn’t entirely agree with that. The new C63’s are definitely going to be a disappointment, but for models where they stick with the normal high-displacement engines, I’d say those are true AMG’s (just far fewer these days)
