In this video we take a look at all the weapons and tools in stranded deep, we try and work out what is the best weapon in stranded deep. We test each tool and weapon by killing a hammerhead shark and see how many hits each weapon take to kill it.
The throwing and shooting weapons were easy to measure but the hand held tools were a little difficult to know when we have hiit the shark, so my counting may not be too accurate! But we do get the general results! I do plan to test the hand help weapons in a separate video on a crab so we can get better results for those ones!

You get the carbon speargun out of the starter crates. You get the starter crate when you beat the game and start a new one

Just started SD thanks heaps for this video, I been using fishing spears on sharks, I just figured they were best in water. Now I know refined spears are that powerful that's all I'm making now

Would love to see a video like this killing something that is in "peaceful mode". Okay - baby-mode! Haha! Would be interesting also to see the progression depending on how many hunting/gathering skill points you have. I've started using my fishing spear most, because it is the cheapest to make. Works great on crabs big and small and not too bad on hogs, really. Boar are a different problem, though - they are FAST and NERVOUS! Also, I don't throw the spear. Keep it in my hand and use over and over until something sticks.

If a refined spear only requires three hits and the normal spear requires six hits doesn’t that mean that they do two times more damage than the normal spear

That is correct, the official stats are that when thrown the refined spear does double the damage of a crude spear.

Hey, so i think I mentioned when talking about the carbon speargun that I used the Dev console (on PC) to spawn all the items in for this video. (My video due out tomorrow is a guide on how to use the dev console to spawn items in)... someone else commented on this vid that you get the carbon speargun in a starting crate if u choose that when starting the game.

How did you build under water like that? Can you actually build stairs and foundations underwater or is that a mod?

Hey, yeah that base was all built in normal mode, you can place foundations underwater and build up, just a little more fiddly to place as plants/rocks/fish get in the way when trying to place.. @@jennifertyler865 I'm on console and there is NO way to build under water. Which sucks! Also no way to build on rafts other than rudders and stuff and the container shelves. I'm playing on Nintendo Switch and am SO not an adrenaline addict. Plants vs. Zombies is the closest I get, and killing animals in Stranded Deep. Is Sea of Thieves possible to rund without killing people? It isn't on the Switch, sadly, but wondering if you have any tips.

Yo flare gun isn’t a weapon flare guns in the game are used if you want to see the surface of the water around you shoot it up in the air and it’ll hover

"I'm gonna say that's 2...3" missed most of them!!! Results are all wrong the axes and knives can kill in 3 or 4 hits when you actually hit the shark. I was just cringing in the end blatant miss and again " I'm gonna call the 5" hahahahaha jokes

Although wasn't the most scientific test 🤣 results are reasonably correct. The official hit points of a refined axe is 20, same as crude spear. Knife is only 10, so would take double the hits of a crude spear, or refined axe. The refined spear having 40 hit points when thrown, so half the hits needed compared to refined axe and crude spear. My table at the end is pretty aligned with this, so it all came out OK 👍
