In this video I cover 7 top tips for Building in Stranded Deep. Starting off with a guide to basic building, then moving onto tips for some of the more fiddly parts to building, including build roofs for double height buildings, roofs over stairs, jetties for Boats including ones our to sea. Building a rock base. Im sure there are a lot more basic tips, however i find these are the main ones for the foundation skills needed to build a decent base

I’ve watched like 5 videos n finally you have explained it the best. I didbt understand the floors. Lol but mine won’t let me place a floor with something under it. I have stairs but it won’t connect unless I put a floor under first

Glad it helped! Yeah first floor at top of stairs does need a foundation or floor below it. Then yeah when you can't place a floor or something, always have a hunt for what might be in its way, bit of trial and error removing things until it works! 😀

So say i build a mansion out of sticks and can upgrade to brick, like go through one build at a time breaking a foundation and building a brick one same with the walls and stuff or will it just collapse?

Don't worry it won't collapse. There isn't really any "supporting structures" mechanics in Stranded Deep, you can literally smash away all lower walls etc and the floor above will just remain floating.

It won’t let me build around the cliffs keeps saying something is in the way

That's wierd, the floors should just clip into them. I know I didn't into detail in this vid, but it's only the floors that will do that, not foundations etc, so need to do ur foundations further out, build stairs then do your floors off of that into the rocks.

Ah that sucks! Have you seen my Achievement challenge series of me trying to get all the achievements? My last episode was up a couple weeks ago, was a real grind getting the craft everything on one island achievement!
