Sorry that you are stranded in Topeka. I’ve been stranded about twenty miles east of Topeka for the last forty years. So i built a house here. I lived in Colorado from 75 until 85 then moved to Kansas. Been here ever since.

Toyota > EVERYTHING. I had a few jeeps, the old ones were trustworthy… new ones, no. 4Runner is my trusty steed.

Mike, I’m sorry for your misfortune with the Jeep. Glad we could connect at the dealership and I hope Topeka treated you well. Travel safe and I’m looking forward to seeing some back country content real soon! All the best!

Thanks Dustin. John Hoffer Jeep in Topeka finally got the issues solved. Back country content is on deck!! Good meeting you as well, perhaps we’ll be able to meet up for a few beers on the return trip! Cheers!

Sir, either become a "jeep" mech. Or by some old school stuff you DONT need to be a computer tech to fix/figure out.

I've been wanting to get a jeep trailhawk but, I'm not so sure after this. I hope though the problem has been solved with it. Sounds beyond frustrating. Great videos / channel though!

Hey Mike, sorry that you are having so many issues related to the O2 sensor on your Jeep. From my past experience, I had very much the same trouble with my Jeep and had similar "supply chain" issue excuses from the dealer. They give you the run-around, you are not alone...they are lazy. Anyways, it got fixed but so that I would never have that same problem again...do you know what I did? Yup, bought a new truck. Screw the Jeep...bought me that RAM 2500 you saw when I camped across from you back in Ohio. No more Jeep O2 sensor issues....at least for me. Never again will I own a Jeep. Hope you get back on the road again soon after this, make it to your general destination and have the best time and have plenty more stories to share with us. Can't wait :) Good luck out there and be safe.

Thanks Mike! Ironically I traded a Ram 2500 for this Jeep lol

Haha. Wow. Must have been your old setup with the larger travel trailer and such. I really hope everything works out for you. Sending positive vibes your way and a few prayers.

Had a very severe issue with my jeep renegade not taking gas. The problem is the E-Vap system. Jeep dealer could not get parts because they order them where they are supposed to order parts from. The supply chain is broken for them. Other car repair places could order the parts and get them in a day. Jeep dealer could not get them at all and we’re on back order maybe six months out. In the meantime my car would not run without gas. I have post traumatic stress from the ordeal.

Man, that sucks. All of it. I've never had an issue with my Jeep dealership, but I have noticed a serious problem with the parts supply chain. You'd think they would have done a better job of addressing that issue by now since we're not in lock-down anymore.

Look at a Ford Bronco Sport. Should be a little cheaper than a Jeep and more reliable. I love mine. Depending on the model towing starts out at 2500lbs. and gas mileage is nice. Good Luck.

How’s the new foam pad? Please post where it can be purchased. Thanks!

It made a huge difference! It’s just a full size foam topper that I bought at Walmart and I cut it to fit.

Mike, we looked at a Harvest Host membership for our T@G but states, “You must have a self-contained RV with a toilet, water tank and inside cooking facilities.” Are you able to continue using your membership because your previous camper had the above?

They do allow teardrops and clamshells but no using outdoor galley. I use a container to pee inside overnight and then dump it at the next rest stop. So I am technically following the rules. Cheers! 😁

I know that you probably are going to hate hearing this (as will Jeep Lovers everywhere). I was going to buy a Jeep in 1972 so I checked with all the written info on Jeeps of all kinds. I found out quickly that Motor Trend, Consumer Reports, and a couple others. They all said bad things about the Jeep vehicles. Consumer Reports said that Jeeps have the highest incidence of repairs and call backs for several years running. So I bought a Datsun (Nissan) instead. In the meantime I was still interested in Jeeps. Wagoner to be specific. I asked friends who all were Jeep owners or had been at on time. They were all "sour grapes" towards the Jeep and the Car Mags that reviewed autos had nothing positive to say. That brings us up to today. The word is that Jeep engines are underpowered for their sizes (Cu. In.) and customer satisfaction is down at the bottom of good vehicles for performance, customer service, dealer at one star are plentiful. Now I realize that all car makes have good and bad. Jeep Lovers have good and bad Jeeps. However, Jeep (American Motors) haven't consistently made good vehicles since the 50's according to some. Just a note about "check engine light" staying on. Our extended family has used as a community vehicle, a 2001 Mazda MPV. It's "check engine light " has been on for 40,000 miles. It has 200,000 total miles and runs great. Uses a little oil but the overall picture of a "good little van" continues to deserve it's praIse. My feelings and others reports doesn't mean that I haven't talked to satisfied Jeep owners, because I have. Just not that many. If I was you, I'd trade your Jeep on a a nice 4x4 truck or a sturdy suv type. Not the commuter type, but the back country type. A P.S. at the end of this. I would not recommend a Jeep to anyone.

Ironically I traded a RAM 3/4 ton for the jeep. I’m not ready to give up on the jeep yet, but when the time comes I’m seriously considering the Tacoma. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching!

I would be looking at a lawsuit against Jeep and their poor supply chain issues and poor quality Jeeps I have so many frineds with the same thing happening to them. One issue after another with their Gladiator or JK or JL. I was really wanting to get a Jeep but just said no way. I have no time or patience for sitting at dealerships. Then I wanted Bronco, well good luck on those as they are way overpriced and hard to come by. Plus they are having engine issues. So it looks like Toyota it is as i want to get home and not get stuck

Subaru Outback. They are cheaper, get better mileage and are more comfortable on road. Also, aside from shitty undersized batteries my 2019 3.6R has given me ZERO issues in 4 years and gets me 95% of the places most Jeep owners go.

Bruh, as you have found out Jeeps SUCK. The last good jeep was the TJ 1997 - 2006.
