Camped out in my suburban in -10°! Ran the engine till I was done with dinner then crawled into my sleeping bag. The bag is good for -20°! It got so hot in that bag I had to strip down to just boxers! Best gift I ever got! Plenty of room with the 3rd row removed and rear seats folded down! Love camping in the cold!❤
Mine is a 2022. Someone else commented that they have a 2020 and it wouldn’t fit theirs. I was a little worried before I got mine because I knew it would be a tight fit, mainly due to the hatch curvature. It turned out to be a perfect fit. I would double check with NuCamp and compare the dimensions against the 2022 if you’re planning on getting a different year, because it’s possible that the galley dimensions for the fridge space have changed slightly from year to year. Thanks for the comment!
@@NowhereBoundAdventures 2020. It came with a ice cooler but I bought a cheap freezer in Amazon (110 volts) that fit perfectly in the place of the cooler
In our experience, dealers tend to only use factory banded parts. Smaller shops can get parts from O'Reillys/autozone/ect and generally quicker. Have shipped amazon stuff a day or 2 ahead as well if its somthing we have the tools for.
I understand that. My issue at the time was that the jeep was still under warranty and I didn’t want to pay for the repair or the parts. In any case , I’ve had zero issues with the Jeep since this trip. Thanks for the comment!
Can't go wrong with anything from Iceco. We have the Iceco APL55 dualzone on slides in a tongue box on our teardrop and a Iceco JP30 that is on a drop down slide that goes in the jeep when we take out the teardrop. We use the fridge in the teardrop for food and the fridge in the jeep for drinks. Had mine for almost two years now and zero problems. I looked at cheaper coolers but the reviews sold me on Iceco. Buy once, cry once!
Thanks Mike. We're in the market and will consider your recommendation strongly. Thoughts on an associated Jackery pairing? I know you run a 1000. We're hoping to stay smaller as we do have a Honda genset.
Sorry you feel that way. In the beginning of the video I was hunkered down in the camper while the storm was raging outside. Towards the end of the video I got turned around because of massive trees that blew down during the storm. Not sure what you were expecting.
Thats why Consumer Reports have 5 Jeep vehicles as the worst for reliability I drove an 05 Jeep TJ from SeaTac to Destin, FL and had zero issues. The new versions seem to be trash
I’ve been getting a lot of Jeep hate from this video (understandably) I think mine was an isolated fluke incident, and the Jeep has been rock solid since this trip. 25k additional miles on and off road. Not one issue.
I may put a hardshell rooftop tent on my toyota avalon cause its not rated to tow much Really though in that jeep yoy coulda pulled the rear reats abd just put a bed in back and got a rooftop storage container
Thought about doing that, but I like having the extra room and. Climate control of the teardrop. Plus the galley. I might eventually outfit the jeep for overlanding.
Absolutely love your Channel mike! Curious about juniper! How old is she me and the wife love her. Most of all keep up the good work and we always look forward to your videos when they come out
Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 New Living Translation (NLT) “The living at least know they will die, but the dead know nothing. They have no further reward, nor are they remembered. Whatever they did in their lifetime-loving, hating, envying-is all long gone. They no longer play a part in anything here on earth.”
We have the exact same camper. Love it! We have tubs with the camping essentials in them. It makes it easy to load up and hopefully not leave anything behind.
Hey Mike!!! What an awesome surprise, thanks for the shout-out 😁👍 I think a road-side stand with bundles of firewood would be a great idea 💡 Thanks again!!! 🤠👍
Get a BAL leveler. Handy piece of kit for a small camper. I always have the jack wheel with me. I have moved my camper so many times by hand in tight spots.
Did you by chance have a brother that used to drive semi? I believe for Bates trucking out of Cambridge Ohio and then merchants five star out of Marietta his name is Phil.? And or marks trucking?
@@NowhereBoundAdventures you sure look like him a guy I know while I was up there trucking and working and living you have a twin my friend lol Hey, you’re welcome thanks for taking us along with ya, I’m in South Texas. Almost Galveston, Texas, you all have more rain. Heading your way. Have a good weekend and enjoy.
Thanks for sharing. I would not like to go somewhere with that many people. It’s beautiful but what a shame. I wonder if it’s better in the fall or winter.
Welcome to Colorado my friend. I am out here in the early 1990s from New York and I never looked back. Watching this video made me realize how beautiful this state is. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoy living here.
I was born in the middle of West Virginia. This area so reminds me of Clay County, WV. I attended West Mound Elementary in Columbus, OH, and they took us on a weekend field trip to Old Man's Cave. It was glorious. I clicked as soon as I saw where this video was filmed. I live in San Diego now, and I surely miss the rain. And thunder, when it happens once every 5 to 10 years.
My mother is from San Diego. I went there a lot as a child to visit my grandmother who lived in North Park. Lots of riding my bicycle in balboa park and on the mission beach boardwalk. Thanks for watching!
