🇷🇺 People often ask how I get around Russia, well often I hitchhike from town to town. Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes I discover a weird place I'd rather not be in...
It just amazes me how confident he is walking around in the middle of nowhere in a completely abandoned village. Sometimes I get lost in my own city ffs.
love how the receptionist saw this bald man and her first answer was "the luxury is 3000 rubles" straight for the pockets she knew he was a tourist lol
The 2nd guy who picks him up and saying he has a son and daughter what more does he need in life. What a true fucking legend, if only everyone was that happy.
Imagine being a cop and finding an englishman in the middle of nowhere ..just existing It is a bit suspicious lol :D Also Chulchuta is a really desperate sight
I wish I was as stress-resistant as this guy. He can enjoy every place in any circumstances. I would only be worried all the time about if I would be able to find food/hotels/busses/toilets and not enjoy the trip at all.
@@geniusj1841 well, actually, he headed west-ish, so away from east, sp technically, when he was heading from Astrakhan to Kalmykia, he was heading towards England in some way XD btw I know you were joking, so don't quote me on that.
I'd be so scared in these parts of the world because of how uninformed I am. Even being informed I'd still be scared probably. Thanks for these vids, I started watching today, instant addict!
I laughed so hard when you got stopped by the police and they asked you "is everything alright"? Haha They couldn't possibly figure out what on earth was a random foreigner doing there, stranded in the middle of nowhere! 😂
Mr Bald, I have to say what an adventure. You end up in a vilage that looked like something out of a western movie ... dead quiet and scary as f=÷k. Then on to some fantastic Russian monument and mural which always take my breath away, love old Russian stuff. And through the generosity of a few Russians you get driven to safety. What absolutely amazing generosity for a total stranger . .. love it. And then a cheap clean room to rest in. I love seeing the disposition of the locals ,the quizine and the beauty of the countryside. Well done
@@baldandbankrupt i'd love to see a mini map on some of your videos, showing where you are, and where you travelled to that day, put some context to the vastness of Russia!
12:43 Second part in Russian: "For the Motherland shed blood forever sacred in memory." Dedicated to the soldiers of the 28th Army, who died in battles during the great Patriotic war. On the territory where the monument is located today, the advance of German troops towards Astrakhan was stopped. Inside the obelisk on both sides of the through passage are niches in which information plates with the names of military formations that participated in the battle of Hulhut are placed. On the right side of the obelisk are several mass graves, in which the fallen soldiers of the 28th army are buried, the remains of which are found in our time by search teams. At graves tablets with names of the victims are established.
This shit is so fascinating coming from a dude in rural America. Wonderful to see warm welcoming people all around the world. Can’t trust the stereotypes we’re taught here. This is some real shit. Keep it up Bald you’re the best.
Can you share a link to that vid or article? What I saw is his interview where he said that he doesn't care if somebody believes or not but aliens came straight to his apartment and offered him a cosmo voyage) which he actually accepted and then he travelled a lot and even saw their planet). When he returned his bodyguards didn't notice his absence as for them it was like a sec. But he didn't tell anything about the chess :).
Not trying to be mean, everytime I watch one of these videos I'm surprised this guy hasn't been offed yet. How many Texas chainsaw esk situations can you throw yourself in.
03:50 Police: Is everything okay? You need any help? Bald: Yes, everything is fine. No problems whatsoever. 5 seconds later Bald: I am stranded in nowhere, alone with no civilization
Wow. Great content! Definitely true to the word, "adventure". I mean, come on, you're dropped off in the middle of nowhere. Unknown territory to you. You come across some kind of beautiful history memorial in the middle of nothing. Abandoned town. Little cafe. Tours very old apartments. Receives rides from the generosity of strangers. Ends up in a pretty decent reasonably priced hotel! Love it!
Bald - youre awesome. You should go somewhere more exotic like a Siberian city, or maybe the coldest inhabited city Oymyakon!! That would be incredible.
I'm 6'3 and weigh 20 stone, had countless fights, been stabbed twice and survived a category A prison and you wouldn't catch me cutting about a Russian village in the middle of nowhere like that for a gold pig. Fuck that he's braver than me 😂
As a Dane you can only laugh at this video. The truck there wasn’t picking you up was driving for a danish company (DSV) and the beer you get is also danish hahaha
I’ve been traveling alone around much of the world and you capture the solitude/isolation which happens sometimes. Curiosity is a wonderful thing! Cheers
Bald- You are truly an amazing presenter. Your style and personality are without match. We "feel" each moment of your travels, and admire your command of the language and personal interface with those that you meet. Your travel channel is without equal- bottom line, "You've got balls!" Keep it up, and don't look back.
Your courage in venturing out into the middle of nowhere...multiple nowheres...frequently depressing nowheres....not knowing where you're going or where you'll end up...never ceases to amaze me. You're a better person than I am.
Good lord, I drove from one end of Kansas to the other on my trip from Pennsylvania to Colorado in 2011. I was literally calling everyone I knew on my phone to try to keep from going insane. I thought I was going to run out of gas at one point because there were simply no exits for god knows how long. When I finally came to one, the "town" (and it was suggested as such from signs) was an abandoned diner and a gas station. Thank fuck the latter was still open. Lovely people working there though. Against seemingly all odds, I talked to a woman who was actually headed to a town in Pennsylvania where I have relatives.
@@42ndStreetMatthew Now imagine, here in Russia, we have almost every road looking like that. Thousand and thousand miles of wasteland and abandoned villages.
The village of Khulhuta was founded in a semi-desert area, with a large number of dunes and a lack of water resources. Around the village there are 9 wells with drinking water. The water contains a large amount of sulfur and other trace elements. Often, with a long absence of operation and maintenance of the well, sulfur rises to the surface of the water, forming a "plug". Hence the name of the village "Khulhuta" Kalm. Khulkhta (joint case from Kalm. Khulkh - sulfur (in the ears)
