Nearly everyone I have watched at this place their apps have given different times of the tide and they have all had to wait to get back to base, so much for modern apps...it's good job the weather was good! I bet you all had a great time telling corny jokes to each other! I wont say thank you for taking us there I would have hated having to wait to get back....Thank you for the blog!

Paul, presume you parked up in the car park at Newborough beach. I know they don't allow camping overnight there but presume it's ok to leave the car to go to the island?

Lovely location I go quite a bit. I usually give 90 minutes either side of high tide to get across (can be longer in very high tides). How long did you wait?

@@paulcomptonpdphotography it'll get it noticed, but not in the right way mate. Island of Lovers isn't bad, but to be honest - anyone from North Wales watching is probably curling their toes hearing 'Love Island'. 🙁

Yes mate even though i had some crappy news about Scotland (Skye) being so busy you cant even park to visit places

@@paulcomptonpdphotography Skye's been like that for years. The farmer/crofters got so sick of tourists they put up more barbed wire than the Lake District and dug pseudo-drainage ditches along their land to keep the cars from parking on the side of the road. I was last there in 2013, I wouldn't go again. Do you already have an itinerary of where you're going and when? I'm happy to put you up and show you the less touristy places.

@@paulcomptonpdphotography If I can advise in anyway just ask. If you're coming through Glasgow fill your tanks at the Tesco's at St Rollox, or the Asda at Milngavie or Morrison's at Anniesland. Fuel gets more expensive the further north you go. Happy to meet you at Balloch on the south shore of Loch Lomond to say hello if you're going by that way. Hopefully most of the tourists will have buggered off by October so you might stand a chance of parking, even so I suspect with 6 or 7 van's you'll end up dispersing quite a bit.

i feel this may happen yes, we will do our best haha.. yer love to meet up for a pit stop, heading past Loch Lomond on the way up, send me a w3w pin to where you mean.. and good idea on the fuel, i normally fill up just before Lock Lomond just off the rounderbout..
