Friend, I was binge watching some Silent Hill walkthroughs, mostly to remember the games, and to reminisce about their feeling. But I also tend to sometimes listen to Silent Hill music from time to time while working on my projects. I am especially fond of the "Silent Hill Ambience" playlists you can find up on google, and one of the things that irks me is when I listen to music that even though was inspired, is just too different from the "Silent Hill" vibe of ambience. I just spent most of my day, today, listening to your *"Formlessness - Alternate Silent Hill 2 'Save Room' Music "*, while writing and drawing, and I am at a complete loss for words. You... have done something truly impressive my friend. Something I never thought I'd hear, honestly. After listening to about 3 more songs based on Silent Hill, including this one, "Stranded Soul", I can safely say you have perfectly emulated the style, vibe, beat, melody, and overall "feel" of any Silent Hill official soundtrack, AND by definition, Akira Yamaoka's style in the 2000's. It is virtually indistinguishable. I myself thought, in absolute disbelief, that "Formlessness" was an unreleased soundtrack. xD This all to say that you have found yourself a new faithful follower, I look forward to your work, and I will give RE save room music a try, even though I never played them. :) Thank you SO much for your work my friend, seriously, I have no words to express my gratitude for this auditory blessing. PS:I would also like to suggest something you haven't already done, and really should. Create a separate playlist for Silent Hill music, and the Resident Evil music, your fans will love you for it, I know I will.
@@KRIMZONMEKANISM Thank you for your wonderful entry my friend! Like often yt didn't notify me, hence the delay in response. I feel honoured by your words, especially since you appear to be an expert listener of those classic sounds that we love and miss so much these days. It's comments like these that truely motivate me to go on, and you can rest assured that I plan returning to the more mellow side of SH often. About creating playlists... that sounds indeed plausible, and I remember it was asked earler by others as well. I'll look into it (I'm not a good youtuber when it comes to stuff like this...)
You did it again. Calming, eerie and mysterious. Another great one. Once again - it sounds a lot like your Resident Evil pieces but I sense some differences here and there, capturing the feeling of walking on a lonely road for hours and hours with thick fog everywhere... Speaking of: Are there people reading this who love to walk on empty streets at night, listening to songs like this one, too? Feel free to tell me if you do! :-)
I'm so glad I found your channel, just like a few hours ago. As a huge fan of Silent Hill, you actually confused me for a moment, since I really thought this was an unreleased original soundtrack. I've seen so many people trying to recreate the feeling of SH music, but you, you really did it. I'm rarely impressed, but this definitely got me. That is talent. Thank you and keep it up.
For the last few months I’ve been working on a silent hill fan film. I’ve been making short movies since I was a kid. When I was around six or seven I stumbled upon silent hill 2 on ps2 at my uncles house and decided to play it in between my usual sonic heroes and American wasteland binges, it terrified me to no end but opened me up to an entirely new genre of horror. As the years went by I kept playing silent hill games and honing my film making skills. When covid hit it was the first time since I first starting making movies that I was physically unable to meet up with friends and express myself creatively. COVID has been a rough time for everyone but I somehow managed to get through it fairly well, being introverted I didn’t need the constant presence of people physically although I missed my friends and missed filming. But one thing I had realised was I’d spent so long being addicted to making films that I had become burnt out. Covid was a break I needed but not the one I knew I needed. As soon as covid restrictions lifted after a few months I found myself driving alone at night. I usually drive at night to clear my head and I often drive the same roads due to the comfort they bring, but this one night I wanted to venture down a road I hadn’t checked out. I drove for a few miles and stumbled upon a town. It hadn’t newly been built but it felt so nostalgic, like I’d been there. The roads were empty but the houses were lit up. It was past 2am and the streets were quiet but it felt like something was alive there. It inspired me to make a film there, and base it on silent hill. So I started crafting a script and whilst doing so found your music. It helped me get into that somber yet vulnerable place that silent hill often puts you in. The night I planned to film the scenes in the town I found it was a full moon. The night sky was fairly bright for November in England. As I approached the town and the road started to increase in altitude I kid you not a layer of misty fog hit us. It was like something cosmic. We parked up and the street was foggy, the ambience was perfect. The entire time I was filming I had my headphones in listening to your music on repeat. The final film isn’t out yet, but I just wanted to thank you for your inspiration and for being an unknowing help and friend. The link to my filming channel is here, you can see some of the shots I was talking about in the trailers. www.RU-vid.com/homebyenoon
I find myself coming back here anytime I need to unwind, or to listen to while I focus on studying. I cannot begin to tell you how much I love listening to this tune. Thank you for taking the time to make this!
@@SurvivalSpheres oh how cool! Places up north really are beautiful and even down here south where I live this country still shines with It's nature. Where are you from?
My God, these Silent Hill-esque tracks you make are amazing. They have that eerie and melancholic feel of the score from the early SH titles. If Yamaoka does not return for a hypothetical next game, we now who Konami should hire :)
Oh I hope the master will return! SH just doesn't work without him, at least in my opinion. In the meantime more SH inspired music will follow here soon, btw.
I just gotta say you are beautifully talented. All of your work is awesome and always sets a perfect mood. Thank you for continuing to make this genre of music. Sorry for gushing. I just dont want you to feel like your work is underappreciated or underrated. I know a lot of people that love your music but they never bother to leave a comment.
Well I often say what matters most to me is people just listening, no need to bother with feedback, but when I receive some, like yours today, I always realize that it actually means a lot to me... and helps a lot. Thank you. Another one uploading this minute.
@@SurvivalSpheres Of course, David Lynch came to my country and a film school is opening, and I am writing a script that I will show to David, your music will be very suitable, the film will be a surreal mystical adventure genre, believe me, my friend, we will make it a reality
@@SurvivalSpheres The moon has never been born so calm! The sound of the night shrouded in silence It causes the blue lands with a roar and weaves in the trees... I don't remember the sky so silent, so gentle! The moon is like an iris with a faint bead of light And wrapped in its light like a light dream It looks like a painful and breaking white flash, Oh! Never gave birth to such a gentle moon! Here my dear old man's land sleeps in a kingly sleep, Here in the sad cemetery, with rose and daisy, There is a bit of starry fun... Baratashvili loved walking here as an orphan... And let me die in song as a sad swan on the lake, But let me tell you how the night looked into the soul, If a dream spread its wings from sky to sky, and spread the blue sails of dreams - If the proximity of death makes a difference To the roses and waterfalls of the dying swan, How I feel that for a soul that was raised by this sea, There is no way to die but the pink way that on this road the courage of the brave is a fairy tale, that never was a night so silent That, ghost, I know your near death - that I am a king and a horseman and I die with a song - That my talent will accompany you for a century... The moon has never been born so calm!
Solemn, ominous yet soothing piece of art. Definitely helps me with writing on this late evening. Thank you for the beautiful music and keep up the great work! :)
You´ve got quite talent!, i really liked it seriously, shivers all over my limbs, and it really sounds like it was the official soundtrack. All i can say is thank you, and hope "you will get places", (it´s an english quote, it means you will get far in everything you do).
This one will be added to the streaming providers with album 3, out soon. If it had been up to me, I would have mirrored my entire collection from Bandcamp to Spotify&Co, but unfortunately these providers limit an album to 35 songs. That makes it a bit more complicated. But sooner or later everything will be there. Thanks for listening!
all this time i'm seeing homer simpson holed up in the food pantry getting dragged out by the monsters in 'the shinning' treehouse of horror episode lol!!
i found that the 'terrifying tracks' from the Silent Hill 1 ost go really well with the scary scenes from the movie (like the axe through the door scene), maybe i'm thinking of 'Until Death' as one of them? and 'All' of course! also 'Over' for the chase through the hedgemaze... that bear costume though!
@@Shoe3003 Now it's getting scary: I went to the cinema the other day (IT2) and saw the trailer for a movie I had never heard of before: "Dr. Sleep", continuing the story of Shining!!! What a coincidence.
Yes I have, but decided against it, at least for now. When selling music packs on these dedicated platforms you must - understandably - agree to relinquish all rights in the course of the sale. This means I can neither publish those songs here anymore, nor grant small indie devs permission to use the tracks for free (which I do quite often). Also, I lose all control over my music, since the buyers can basically do whatever they want with it, including, for example, using it in conjunction with content that I find highly questionable from an ethical standpoint. Last but not least, being an amateur, my time budget is so limited that every track more for sale on such platform would mean one track less on this channel and for this community. Long story short: I'll rather keep doing what I do, i.e. make music with an "open" use case for the people to enjoy or with a "targeted" use case, when I collaborate with devs/other artists.
@@SurvivalSpheres ok i can get behind that, I mean some games out there are let just say I feel like they need to see someone or something. but you should make a personally website or something so indie devs can sent in there games or something so they can ask if your ok of using your music for there game.
@@zsewqthewolf1194 "I feel like they need to see someone or something" maybe they need some Dr. K sessions... but then again, who doesn't? 😀 Yeah at the moment people just sent me emails. It works, but I agree a website would be better and feel more complete as well. Hopefully one day. Thanks for the suggestion.
Thank you so much, I was struggling all night because I had a weird feeling about this one. I actually prepared it much earlier, used the base for Another Self and should have discarded it immediately. Obviously I didn't, eventually forgot about it, opened the projekt again and thought to myself "Hm what could I do with this?" So I did change a few things, mainly the backing pads for a more Silent Hillish sound, inserted some bells, slightly altered the piano line, added reverb and wind... and used it... again. Big mistake from my side due to confusion and loss of overview, sorry about that. So what now? Leave it up anyway? PS: The fact that you noticed this proves that you are really into it, so I want to give you a prize. Seriously. I will show it in my next upload, and if you want it, drop me a line there so I can send it to you :)
Nah its great. I enjoy your work. You pump out a lot, still have a lot of stuff to listen to by you. It just happen to be one of my favorite pieces so I noticed the similarity right away.
This music will be useful for my film, first I am writing a screenplay, the film will be mystical, surreal genre, I hope you will want to help me create a film too 😍
@@datokushi3979 Just a fan of classic survival horror soundtracks, especially the soothing, calmer songs. Eventually I started to make my own. Who are you?
