When Canadian electro-pop is made fun of, I like to remind people of a time in the '80's where Strange Advance were pretty much the whole genere. Thank you for the continuation, I think we all need this music!
This was one of my favorite songs when I was a teen, and still is. I have listened to We Run & Worlds Away around a billion times. They were my favorite songs in my youth. I still love them as much now as I always have and always will. I'm so sad I didn't know you were playing in my hometown (Mississauga) the night before we left for our 19th anniversary trip. I would have done anything to have seen the show.
Wow, his voice is.... awesomely the same as it was 40 years ago! Such a beautiful and classic Canadian song - I played this album to death at the time. I didn't know they still tour? I'll have to keep my ears open for that.

Strange advance is one of Vancouver BC best bands, they started around 1982 and hit the big charts with this song, WE RUN. Their much older now but still sharp as a razor. Bravo, BRAVO!!!😊❤😊
Oh man I wish I was there in Vancouver BC to see strange advance live at the old Hollywood theater. I didn't know they would be playing live that August night. Wow he sounds as good as back in 1985!!!! One of the very best bands of Vancouver BC Canada. Love this song, and the British band : When in Rome, and their big hit song ,The Promise. 🇨🇦😜😜🤸🤸🤸🤸👍👍😲😲
I'm so glad to see this band is alive and well! I foolishly thought they were a long forgotten band from the 80s. With this video/concert I was HAPPILY proven wrong!
Great video of SUCH a great song! This is always on my list of crucial songs that had an impact on me when I was younger. To be able to attend some of these shows to see and hear it played live again...that's huge! Thanks, Drew and guys!

I was 19 I got into some trouble with the Law scared as shit when I got out not knowing what to expect I bought a Walkman and asked the Lady working behind the Till what was good she pointed this Tape out I had Money in my Pocket but I choose to take a Cab to the outskirts of Thunder Bay and started walking down the Highway with a light rain coming down as it got Dark with this playing I straightened my Life out but this put a lump in my Throat.
One of the greatest songs of the generation. Saw it performed live in Kitchener in 1987ish. And this version was super high quality. They still got it!
It breaks my heart to feel what I missed because I had a VIP ticket to see this, dog friendly hotel and all booked via Ed...but I caught that nasty COVID...If I had the chance I'd do it again in a heartbeat! (Without the Covid, of course)
The track was recorded live on the last night of the tour, and the video was edited to that recording. So what you hear is the band live but there are images from 4 different shows
This and Worlds Away are high on my 80s soundtrack of most memorable songs. I still remember seeing them in concert at Ontario Place Forum summer of 85.
