Godly cover. I can't even begin to imagine how much work was put into transcribing this. How does one manage to transcribe the guitar part at 0:46 correctly? Must have taken hours.

it definitely took hours! use half speed, listen to multiple versions... I used the album version and a live taping from Sno-Core mostly

I just watched someone do pattons lines and treys lead guitar at the same time. On one of the most challenging bungle songs.And pull it off. But ed sheeren plays three chords and the masses call him a genius.

Agreed. Trey deserves more credit as a guitarist, and, well, Patton is Patton. I'd never dream of attempting to combine their parts live. He did a decent job of it, considering how many different vocal styles are used in the song. I'd die happy if I never had to hear Ed Sheeran again. Unfortunately, my wife is a fan...

no man, i just listened really closely to the parts on the studio recordings and a live recording from sno-core in 2001. i was transcribing the parts in finale which allowed me to play the harmonies back to see if i was getting them right.

Like the cover instrumentation, but the singer doesn't really enough vocal strength to do it justice. Then again, it's Mike Patton. So that's gonna be a challenge for any singer.

I really dug it! I also feel it's great to see somebody doing Patton covers without trying to sound like him, I think that shows both musical intelligence and maturity, far beyond the kind of cringy experiences those who would first and foremost just like to BE him would probably offer. This is just straight up love of the music, love of playing, no stupid imitation or idol worship, right on!

We have done Pink Cigarette live, but it's been awhile. We taped a tune off their first record right after the Prancer cover we just released, and got full CD quality audio for that plus amazing footage. So there will be a live Bungle cover vid in your future.

Excellent work on the music, and the growl-esque voice isnt bad. But you should for a singer with a stronger voice and the singer can easier focus on guitar. This is a very difficult song to play and sing at the same time. Damn talented band though.
