Good to know that there's a "bigger" version of those Otis belt motors. How on earth do they make those motors so tiny and still travel so many floors...

It looks to me like two of them are original, and the third was installed later, which explains the two cabinets and why one motor is different than the other two. Just a guess, though.

Wait so what is PLC? And i thought that separating it is quite cool tbh having the "low power" and "high power" logic in different cabinets.

PLC is a programmable logic controller

Programmable Logic Controller. They are general purpouse controllers that can be programmed to do anything and are most commonly used in industries to control machinery.

Hi Ben, What do you think about the idea of surfing lifts in Brazil ? I ask because I just heard that there are lots of concierges in blocks of flats there.

Concierges don't bother me. Brazil is a very long way to go. If I had the money to go that far I would go to Asia instead.
