Well of course I would like to sit around and chat. Well of course I would like to sit and chew the fat. Well of course I would like to sit around and chat. But someone's listening in. (hello float!)
@@vinelovesJesus I can't really fathom how there was a point in my life, when I was a wee kid nonetheless, where I actively wondered and somewhat hoped to be completely alone on earth, just for that ache of complete freedom and agency. But like, MAN, that is so frightening it's not even funny, and the fact I didn't realise that, nor even consider it, back then is indeed fascinating.
3:00 I HAVE 100% BEEN THERE! This is the George Bush airport (IAH) in Houston, I go all there all the time because my dad is a mechanic there and we fly standby, so when we go back home we ride the train located a few floors down to get to parking level. It’s usually pretty empty except for a few people going on to the train. The music in video made it seem very eerie and gives it a creepy dream vibe! Doesn’t feel this way actually being there..
Someone should make a walking simulator where you go through super realistic environments like this, no tacked on horror monster or strange occurrences, just this. It should also look like it has a slight old digital camera filter because it will add to the aesthetic and make it appear more realistic because defects are hidden between pixels, this has been shown to work in things like 98demake's games and others
just imagine you spawn in a old long hallway with those patterns on the wall that grandmas have in there house. then there’s a bunch of doors that leads to places like these. and the hallway keeps on going and going and going and then at last you reach to the last door where lead to nothing
you know those eccentric gazillionaires who have bizarre looking houses and shit like GT Dave? I want that, but the house is just a mishmash of these pictures. and there's no rhyme or reason to it, you'll be in one of those bright lit up play areas then go straight into some bleak liminal space
2:20 is an odd case because, yeah there aren’t any people in the image, there is however a lot going on, combined with the warm colors it kind of gives off a relaxing, vacation feeling. At least that’s my perspective.
I feel like something about it is like, alarming?? In my head im like "This place has a fun atmosphere, but no ones here?" i start thinking about maybe theres a reason for that. maybe something happened there that everyone knows but me. maybe im not supposed to be in this place. am i in danger?
Its weird how everything is still operating but no one is there. Maybe something was heading there, Everyone was in such a hurry to leave they didnt bother to shut anything off. But thats just what i think of when i look at this image.
Also the contrast of the brick walls, enclosed space, and the plasticky child like aesthetic of the waterpark attractions makes me feel weird. There is also what looks to be a carousel in the back? It feels like two building clashed together into one.
Empty waterpark vibes, my first thoughts are: "Where is everyone... I didnt come here alone did I?" "God its suffocatingly hot...." *"I feel like everyone is hiding............."*
For those of you wondering, this strange feeling of being connected or nostalgic over these images is called Anemoia. Feeling nostalgic over a memory that never happened.
Honestly the image at 1:00 is actually scary because of how small the room is along with how much water on the floor there is and not only that but there is still water rising with no visible exit
Something about that first image just sends chills down my spine. The lack of decorations or people, the fact that the only lights on are the ones coming from the shelves, but one of the shelves isn't emitting light, there's so many questions.
@Count Anonymous No, but I think it's a bit more than that. There's not even a sign for what aisle it is, and the only light is coming from the shelves, not even a reflection on the floor from a ceiling light.
You can tell it’s made by man but it does not feel human like, the best way to describe it is eerie but in many ways there is no way to describe it. Almost empty. Yet full. Scary without being scary. Like lonely and sad.
honestly underrated part of these videos are how well the music matches with images, the tempo and vibe really change and you can definitely notice it if you look for it.
1:40 I've seen probably hundreds of liminal spaces, but this is the most liminal one I've ever seen. I think it is because of the lighting or maybe the lights or the room or possibly all of them, its hard to explain.
Since a liminal space basically means a space you pass through and don’t notice (or a space that you’re seeing in a different context than usual), I think this one seems especially liminal because the camera person is standing in a doorway while there’s another doorway right nearby. Along with windows on the other wall, so there’s only one way you can go. It’s LITERALLY just a place to pass through real quick, so... I just overanalyzed it but that’s specifically why I think it seems the most liminal. (And this is more of an opinion but the lighting looks like the type of light you’d see in a place as a child while you were sleepy, so the lighting here feels “liminal” to me because of that. A hazy state.)
We need a video game that's just about exploring places like these. Creepy atmosphere&ambience, no Monsters/Enemies, a game with only one person: the player. All you do is explore these places.
It needs to have an enemy of some kind but only after playing the game for a long time. Like the game keeps track of how long you explore for every time you play and after 10 hours, you start to see something in the farthest corners of the world. Eventually it becomes more prevalent and you have to run away or hide from whatever is chasing you.
Well, as far as I know, they're usually big empty rooms or, when they're outside, always dark with lights from lamps or unknown sources. Also, there are never people in the images, which makes them so unnerving. What makes them look like places you have visited in dreams, is usually the low quality of the image. All that combined with the creepy music makes it really scary and sad. (By the way, I didn't find that out myself, I saw it in another video.)
A lot of them are pretty average settings you’d usually see with people but the fact there’s no people and it’s been altered a bit it looks creepier. Im sure if you saw it irl it would prob still be creepy but not as much.
I don't know much abt psychology but if i had to guess, maybe it's the same uncanny feeling as when you see something almost human but not quite? You almost remember these places, you almost know how you know them, but you've never really been there. Almost, but not quite
Just a little theory: I think if there were one person in each of the photos, it would also be really unnerving, especially if they weren’t looking at the camera because it would feel like the person who took the picture is stalking them.
Once (in a dream) I entered a really huge bathroom like the size of a football field, it was dusk and the entire wall of the bathroom on my right was a giant translucent glass. I couldn't really see anything besides a glimpse of something at end of the bathroom so I walked ALL the way to the other side to see what it was. It was a shower head. And beside it a toilet roll. Then I woke up lol. Weird right?
@@wacklegend9334 yeah that reminds me of the time (in my imagination) where I was in large square room with a door at the end of it but there was a zigzagging line on the floor so I walked back and forth to get to the door which ended up being locked
Virtuous legend omg! i had a dream one time. i was in a huge bathroom. everything was fusia (idk how to spell the color) and green. there were so many stalls and the ceiling was low. across the wall with all the sinks there was a HUGE mirror. everything was so spread out in the weirdest way. i cant remember barely anything. it was a few years ago.
I once out of nowhere had a image pop up in my head, of a long endless hallway made of those weird metal sheets with those creases in them. the ceiling was made of those thick foam tiles that usually are in schools. it had white lights in the ceiling. the floor was made of white concrete and there were cracks in the bottom of the metal sheets where you could see sunlight. but it was completely abandoned. no noises. almost like a different universe. I named it the whiterooms after the backrooms, and because allmost everything in it was white.
2:23 Ive actually been there, it's a waterpark/ hotel in Wisconsin Dells I stayed at here and there, I think it was called Chula Vista, and now that I hear the music that it's paired with, it ain't getting out of my head anytime soon.
The first actually made me feel sad and alone while feeling like a nostalgic memory of a place I don't even remember going to, it feels so familiar yet so strange and empty. The music for the first one made it feel even more comforting yet saddening, it's like a place I've been to but I don't know where the place is. This series of images are amazing, I hope you continue this. Have a wonderful time and keep your days happy!

This makes me feel strangely calm but on edge at the same time, and I look at these videos every time I'm about to do something that requires concentration - most times, right before studying math. Calm enough to not get annoyed by the riddling questions, yet unnerved enough that I wont just fall asleep from being so relaxed and calm.
5:40 I actually really like this vibe. I've always wanted to explore an abandoned/mostly dead mall and I also have found the aesthetic of sinking ships [like the interiors/public areas flooding very slowly] very hypnotic, so it's a bit of two strange feelings I really enjoy merged together.
Apparently the song that plays in that image sounds like someone drowning to some people but the image at 3:00 is kind of cool so I guess this video stays at a C, but this is the most dangerous video to watch in the series.
0:00 You work at a local grocery store. At the end of your shift, you turn off all lights and finish cleaning the floors before locking the doors and leaving. The next day comes. You wake up at 5 in the morning. You drive to the grocery store. The first thing you notice after getting out of your call is a broken door. Alarmed, you attempt to call the police, but your phone is somehow dead and will not turn on. You enter the store and notice the lights are on by the milk section. You run towards the lights, but as soon as you make it, you hear something shatter across the store. You look back and there are no figures to be seen. As you run towards the sound, the intercom is activated. You can't make out what whoever is running the intercom is saying as their voice is drowned out by static, but it was a voice that could change pitch from the man you always hear in movie trailers to a young little girl yelling in excitement as she runs to an ice cream truck. You hear a loud pop and the intercom deactivates, which naturally turns the radio back on. Even though the radio wasn't on, it turned itself on. You stop to compose yourself when you feel a cold hand touch your shoulder. 0:20 A sudden and unknown disturbance causes you to wake up from your nap. Confused, you look around. Nothing that could wake you up was close by. Your phone picked up no new notifications. The time read 3:19 PM. You go downstairs to see that your cat, who normally sleeps at this time, is playing with a ball of yarn. You approach the stairs to go back to your room but hear a door opening. You go towards the sound and are now standing at the door under the stairs. You open the door to see who could be in there. It is too dark to see inside, so you shrug and are about to close the door when suddenly, the electricity is cut. It is now pitch black. Startled, you slam the door shut and paced upstairs quickly, feeling your way around. You start to get the feeling that you are not alone. You run to your bedroom and lock the door. You grab your phone to call 911 when you get an incoming call from a private number. You answer the call with a wobbly greeting. The doorknob to your bedroom turns violently, breaking the lock. 1:20 You and your friends decided to frisbee golf at your local park. You go to the store, buy two frisbees and walk to the park. You start at the first hole. You take your swing and your frisbee lands between the starting point and the finishing point. Your friend comments on how good you throw while they takes their swing. The frisbee curves and hits a tree. You walk up to your frisbee when your friend calls you over to the tree. They point out a light switch embedded in the ground. Curiosity gets the most of you and you flick it. You and your friend get thrown to the ground by an unknown force, knocking both of you out. You wake up first. It is now night time, or it seems to be night time. To your horror, you see your friend's lifeless body with several stab wounds and a pool of blood under them. You shriek and pull out your phone to call 911. The time reads 1:34 PM. Suddenly, your phone gets flooded with notifications saying, "THERE IS NO ESCAPE." You observe your surroundings but there are no suspicious oddities. You start to hear footsteps behind you. 2:20 Your parents decide to treat you to a trip to the indoor water park you've been wanting to go to for a while now after you got staight A's on your latest report card. You pack a swimsuit, a towel and a change of clothes into a backpack you've had since you were in kindergarten. You and your parents hop into the car and drive off. The trip is normal except one oddity. When you hopped on the interstate, there were little to no cars driving your way and there was a huge traffic jam going the opposite way. Your parents comment about it but don't do anything about it. An hour later, you arrive. You get out of the car, run towards the entrance and wait for your parents. They open the door for you and pay for your admission. As soon as you walk in, you notice something very strange. There's nobody inside. The water is running and everything seems to be working alright. You shrug it and check out some of the places your friends have been talking about. In the corner of your eye, there is a big disturbance in the water. It catches your attention and you check it out. There's nothing under the water causing such disturbance. Soon, the entire water is bubbling like it's boiling but no steam is emitted. You dip your hand into the water and you flinch due to how hot it is. You hear a loud growl behind you and hear the shrieks of your parents. I'll add on as I get ideas.
6:00 I dreamed of this place, it's the first time I've seen her and I'm scared now, my dream was about me committing suicide and doing it in this place,,,,,,,
0:20 - you see a strange man near the door in front of you. You run over to mom to tell her that there is a stranger in the house. You and your mom go to the room where the man was standing. He's gone
Look at the images with 4 lamps. That one seems so innocent because I saw a similar picture like it before, but the music makes it scary. Not too scary, but still scary.
The grocery store in the first one still has stuff on the shelves which makes me feel like it was abandoned in a hurry...I really don’t want to know why.
6:41 this isn't unnerving at all, in fact.. it makes me feel like I'm drunk, threw myself into a trash can, then being ran over by a car while god and satan argue over who gets me and me being stung multiple times by a wasp.
0:01 - You worked in the night shift as a security guard 0:21 - After a night shift, you went back home in the morning and heard a siren 0:43 - You've went to basement but something's off 1:02 - Try holding your breath for too long 1:22 - It's dark outside, but the lights will illuminate you to the right path 1:42 - You're trapped inside of this room, wait until someone unlock the door 2:04 - It's 6:00pm and you're early, Take a time to choose a table 2:21 - After you fall asleep, You woke up in the Waterpark and find an exit 2:41 - Something's off with this mat 3:02 - *BACKROOMS CONFIRMED?* 3:22 - Don't run, just walk; They're sleeping in the closets 3:40 - Shh... Don't make any sound, Escape quietly 4:06 - Something's off with this pool 4:20 - This isn't your room, Try breaking that door 4:44 - Something's off with that field 5:03 - Don't be afraid, Just sit on the bench 5:20 - You woke up in the hospital, Try not to wake up other patients 5:42 - You're almost there, Try not to touch the water 6:00 - This isn't the halloween event, Try to avoid them 6:22 - Don't destroy it, Just go inside that hole... I wonder what this leads to? 6:41 - This leads back to your room, But it's different now
2:45 My stomach dropped at how familiar this picture is. It's haunting because it looks lile my cousin's school gymnasium and after school we'd hang out here when my father was working (In the building) and it was full and welcoming. But in this picture it makes me feel scared. Why?
It’s probably scary since there’s a dark hallway in the image. It gives you the feeling that somethings coming out of the dark room/hallway and it’s not gonna be good.
Ok guys but seriously rn, i dont get it how they look familiar to so many people like wtf, and we all get the same weird feeling. Thats creepy sh$t here
2:00 is my favourite, simply because, while still a little being uncanny, it invokes such a sense of joy and happy nostalgia, reminding me of parties long ended, but still fondly remembered by the attenders.

Hi hun! Your parents are here to pick you up!:)
Honestly you're one of the best creators when it comes of making videos such as these, not only can we look at the pics for 20 seconds which is the perfect time to switch the pictures, you're also thinking about what kind of music fits each liminal space!!
My mom's grooming salon has a room for boarding dogs (we keep them if someone takes their dog here so the owner can go on vacation), and it gives off creepy liminal space vibes when the lights are off. I'm in a chair and that room is right behind me while typing this, and it feels like the room will suck me in.
I feel like 1:00 is so brilliant as the combination of the picture and the track. It emanates this incredible feeling of an authentic thing stuck in limbo; a sort of realistic uncanney valley. The thing portrayed is very much concrete and is able to exist in this world, but every other aspect - it's purpose, it's logistics, it's workings - is a complete mystery and feels downright ethereal.
1:20 I am sure i saw that place in one of my dreams, i am absolutely sure, the difference was that the place in my dream was covered by a lot of snow...
