Can you imagine a story with a mad supervillain, competent in every way except their goals and intentions. Like someone with the resources to manipulate weather patterns, but uses it to make a region extra hot during the summer, and shutdown the local public pool, just to spite a specific town. Asymmetric power scaling applied to petty beefs and incomprehensible goals. It might be fun to imagine such an agent of chaos, you could even use them to deus ex machina the occasional loose plot thread.

Stranger Things absolutely nailed the neverending struggle of Dungeon Masters everywhere: getting people to commit to playing. Scheduling is always the biggest enemy.

The Weird Al song that played when Joyce went to see the science teacher was "My Bologna," a parody of "My Sharona" by The Knack. It was Al's first single; the original was recorded in a bathroom at the radio station where he worked. He sent it in to the Dr. Demento radio show and the rest is history.

@@LordVolkov According to the 1995 Weird Al box set liner notes according to an online transcription according to Wikipedia, his first demo tape was for a contest to make his new theme song and was rejected, the second had several songs including "Belvedere Cruisin'" which made it on air, and his third included "School Cafeteria" which was much requested, all before he went to college. "My Bologna" was in his senior of college, and "Another One Rides the Bus" was right after he got his degree in architecture.

Decre does such a good job on Billy's character you can see that in a lot of the scenes he's crying but he's doing bad things because he can't help himself but he actually doesn't want to be that bad of a person

"Stay away from me, Karen." That's the first hint that Billy might not be the worst person who ever lived - because while it comes across as cruel and petty, he's doing all he can to keep her safe from him. Though he is still awful. Just not... you know. Literally the worst.

Finally..reactors that noticed he was drinking pool chemicals…we made a magnet in junior high, got an amazing core from our teacher, giant spool of lacquered or plasticized copper magnet wire and wrapped it ourselves, then nearly took our fingers off the first time we powered it on..so strong we couldn’t pull anything away from it. Looking back, Billy actor did a truly amazing job..

It's really good no one needed to be rescued from the pool while infected Billy was on duty. Last season the tunnels growing under Hawkins avoided rivers and lakes and the Demodogs fled when Bob turned on the sprinklers in the hospital. Whatever that thing is, it is definitely hydrophobic, and I'm not sure Billy would even try to fight it to save someone drowning if needed.

I think you’re right that the Upside Down creatures are somewhat hydrophobic. The vines growing under Hawkins avoided all the lakes and rivers, and the demo dogs fled when the sprinklers were turned on in the lab. Billy seems to really suffer in the shower and later we find out there’s no water in the Upside Down (so it’s pretty amazing that Will survived there for a week)!

@@alexarias5717 Almost everything. Every character is turned into a caricature of themselves, ridiculous plot, rehashed and less interesting monster. Billy's storyline is ok I guess.

It's my least favourite season, too. It has great moments, and it's perfectly watchable, but the teen relationship drama and the ultra 80s pastiche they went for didn't appeal to me. I get what they were going for. There were lots of homages to different 80s films, etc., but overall, I'd rate this season below the others. Funnily enough, this season is some people's favourite.
